I watched it as fiction... :) I mean, what's with this story arc about the demon chasing him? And why not say its name (which I suspect is something like Belial - the demon of lies and guilt - message, anybody? lol :) )?

Get a load of this, one of the stupidest and funniest things I have seen on T.V. This is from episode 3 of Paranormal State in which their "3rd generation Pagan" does some sort of ritual to keep those pesky demons away. This show is awful, now America has its own Most Haunted, but far worse.

You mean the part where the socially confused and religiouslly befuddled teenager is invoking the names of christian angels for her psuedo pagan ritual in that stupid droney incantation voice? ;D

She was actually performing the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram. And she did it wrong. Just google LBRP and you'll find tons of info on it.

I find this show horribly irritating. Demons? Seriously? They're not "Ghost hunters", they're crazy people thinking demons are following them. I mean, c'mon.

I had a massive "discussion" that ended with lovely Christian people calling me horrible names, on FB about Paranormal State (one of the larger groups on there about this show).

I seriously doubt the Catholic Church is calling in a 24 year old kid to help with exorcisms (particularly since there are less than 10 official exorcists in North America, and also that the Church mostly provides counseling for those who believe they are possessed, and that seems to work just fine).

I hate this show with a passion.

does anyone else feel that part of the show is all about a vendetta the lead student has got with a demon from his past? it's got a new spin on it though, instead of commentary as usual we now have a star ship enterprise type log that he reports his findings to. very amateur, or is it me? ::)

I totally agree. I have friends who like it, and I constantly yell at them. :P How could generally intelligent people like this s*ite?

*sigh* But I know I'll be watching Season 2 when it starts, just to take the piss out of it.

Last night we had an indepth look into some buried dogs. How the dogs carcass still looked fresh when they dug it up. Of course it had nothing to do with being wrapped in plastic! ;D

On tonights episode

The case of the demon possessed Piano that annoys people with mice and nuisance mobile phone messages writing 666... ::) someone write a horror story before Stephen King gets hold of this idea. I had hoped for a ghost appearance by Liberace but it was not to be.

Fear not though, our paranormal warriors were able to subdue the beast with candles, a quick prayer and an axe.

That ^^is so hilariously beyond ridiculous isnt it and the worse thing about the programme (or should i say one of the worse things) is these kids actually believe in what they are doing

I decided to record an episode to watch - turned out to be the possessed piano.

What an utter, utter crock of sh*te! A piano that when put into someone's house in January they got a couple of mice. Of course, it wasn't because it was cold and mice may have come in to make a home in a warm house... no, it's because the piano was possessed!

So, after a click and the sound of an old, wooden piano settling later Lorraine Warren makes an appearence.

Lorraine Warren is someone I personally can't abide. The video her and her late husband Ed put on 'World's Scariest Ghosts' was so full of blatant trickery and holes and the second one was also very blatantly faked (there's a vid and description of it I did on the BadGhosts site I believe).

Did you see her feeding information out of the group? When she got there she was doing nothing but asking questions. As soon as it was mentioned that it was the piano that was possessed it turned to "Well I felt that when I saw it" and when that woman told her the story about 666 appearing on her phone it, surprise surprise, turned into a demon possessing the piano.

Do you think that if the piano had been valued at something like $50+ they wouldn't have so dramatically smashed it up like that?

The whole program was so amateurish and rubbish. Maybe other episode aren't quite so bad but that particular one was so boring I had to force myself to keep watching.
