Earlier today my PC basically decided to go tits up.
So I am slowly trying to reinstall everything.
I used to have Nero Burning Rom, but want a nice simple free alternative.
Anyone got any suggestions?

I use ImgBurn it is small does the job and it free and legal 
You might like to invest in Acronis TrueImage 2010, you should be able to pick this up very cheap as 2011 is out now, but IMO 2010 is the better product.

Yeah got img burn.
Have reloaded anotehr pc and that has Roxio on it so using that too

nero does a free version , though it has limited features.
dont think it burns dvd movies but does data disks fine.

I've found Nero to be very bloated and it hooks into windows too deeply for my liking

I used to like Nero, simply cause i got used to it.
