Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem
Thats pretty scary, its got this heart beat sound effect and it really gets you going as it speeds up when something is gonna happen

Remember Alien while playing it in the dark these spider like creatures would jump on the screen and then slide off. Wow I had many a good frights on that game. Pitch black except for a widescreen tv eee they don't make em like they used to.

Silent Hill for me... 
Take away the skinned cadavers and I STILL cr*pped myself when there was banging from the inside of a closed locker and I had to open it to see what it was...  Don't know who jumped highest, me or the contents... lol

Phantasmagoria was quite scary in its day, but now i would have to say doom the third one whenever my other half plays it when im around almost pooped myself!

The Sims lol I played that once and had my baby took off me lol. The social services came and took it away lol. I had not fed it lol

Resident Evil Two. Police Station. Running back down a corridor to be attacked by zombie arms trying to get in. Cue crapped pants.
Also have to give major props to Aliens Vs Predator 2. Loads of scares in that game - the predator/alien hybrid running around the prison, the frozen predator who wakes up and follows you with eyes, running through the egg breeding ground when the stasis field is turned off, running through the tunnels after the aliens first escape, and loads, loads more

Half-life2
There is a section in that where you have to climb across the underside of a suspension bridge and being afraid of heights, this is very scary as you really feel like you're 100's feet up.
Also Doom3 and Unreal2 any 3rd person shooter that has spider type creatures that appear from nowhere<shiver>

That happened to my eldest daughter on Sims2, last week, but the person came back as a ghost and haunted the next resident  No the MH team did not arrive to do a vigil
