Unfortunately that does seem to be the case.
No idea if the big story i heard was being touted to the newspapers about her will be picked up now

As a kid I strongly denied I'd broken a window, my deflated casey in the living room kinda proved otherwise. Same here I think

The paper claimed that it is illegal to operate as a medium in the UK, which, of course, is totally incorrect.
Annoyed by the “Mail’s” stand, medium Alan Seymour, who is vice-president of Croydon Spiritualist Church, Surrey, fired off a series of letters both to the “Daily Mail” and Press Complaints Commission. Alan, who holds the Spiritualists’ National Union’s CSNU (certificate of recognition) refused to give up until a satisfactory result was achieved. Eventually, the paper agreed to print the following statement on page two in its “Clarifications & corrections” section:
“Two commentary articles about psychic Sally Morgan in the ‘Daily Mail’ in September stated that it is ‘illegal in this country to claim to be a medium.’
“It has been pointed out to us that mediums are in fact legal in this country, although like other businesses they are subject to consumer protection legislation.” |

Interesting that they are only apologizing for the claim that mediums were illegal in the UK, and NOT that they insinuated that Morgan was a fraud.
Also I would still state that being a medium IS illegal. That is if the definition of a medium is someone who pretends to talk to the dead

I went to see the brilliant Penn & Teller a couple of weeks ago. This was a different type of show for them in that there was very little magic but lots of talk about their history and beliefs. One of the things Penn pointed out was that- 'I believe Mediums DO talk to the dead, the problem is getting the bastards to answer back'!

So in other words they havent apologised at all about anything to do with Morgan, just the mistake about mediums being illegal, something i still say they are right on strictly speaking

Morgan will be appearing at our local theatre in April. The internet blurb for the show now carries the following disclaimer -
By attending this event attendees agree to have sought the services provided of their own accord and understand that it is a holistic experiment and experience. The medium/therapist/clairvoyant may give you information that could bring about a positive change in your life, but any changes that you make are your personal and legal responsibility.

I still dont think it makes a difference what disclaimers she gives. If you pay for a service and she does not deliver she is breaking consumer laws
