I am sorry to hear you are in pain.
Try putting something cold against the affected area (a bag of frozen peas which you keep just for that purpose works well)
Thats what my Doctor told me to do when I was waiting for an appointment at the Dentist and it worked for me.

Basil you may just have saved me £223 !
Mind you only a week to go now ...ive kind of become accustomed to the sleepless , painkiller and anti biotic induced haze
Perhaps i should just stick to waiting for conventional dentistry to pull their finger out rather than risk my own efforts at teeth pulling.
Barb i fully intend to gargle at least a bottle of Jim Beam as soon as im anti b free ...hopefully in time for my birthday on Saturday which is fast decending into disaster anyway thanks to the bloody shift patterns at my best mates work causing her to have to work that night 
Does anyone else suffer from birthday doom syndrome ?
I swear every year the week running up to my birthday is always like something out of a farcial ITV sitcom....personal injury,inconceivable circumstances, unbelivable coincidences of misfortune, and a sprinkling of jovial disaster just for good measure seem to save themselves up especially to unleash themselves for maximum effect at that very week.
I may just lock myself in with a bottle of jim and some pliers

Sitting waiting for my son to bring me a set of speakers.there are loads of vids I have not been able to listen to since my ears went wonky. Have a lot to catch up on when they finally arrive.

Theres a new series ? Ohhhhh balls im so far behind with everything i need to watch already this may push me into the new year
The original was the stuff of legend in my house , i remember sitting down to watch it and having to fight me dad for control of the remote cause the olympics were on at the same time if i remember right.
Never was there a bigger "playground" moment (i was still at school) the day after the infamous "guinea pig swallowing" with ole "expand a jaw" diane revealing her fondness for pets at home style snacks ....queue twenty kids pretending to eat a stuffed toy at breaktime.
(there was an unfortunate incident at my primary school with the class hamster which thankfully was saved by a rather flustered supply teacher after this episode aired....)
