After a long absence, former Pro Wrestler Jim Hellwig aka Warrior aka Ultimate Warrior returned to WWE (Formerly WWF) to accept his place in the Hall of Fame. He appeared at Wrestlemania XXX as well. On Raw the next night he came out and cut an amazing promo, of which I have quoted below.
Yesterday evening he died. Suddenly his final promo seems to take on a whole new meaning.
‘No WWE talent becomes a legend on their own.
‘Every man’s heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe their final breath.
‘And if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others and makes them believe deeper in something that’s larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized by the storytellers – by the loyalty, by the memory of those who honour him, and make the running the man did live forever.
‘I am the Ultimate Warrior, you are the Ultimate Warrior fans and the spirit of the Ultimate Warrior will run forever.’
I grew up a fan of this guy in the 80s, he was a real life super hero.
Very sad to hear he has died.
A bad ass who will beat you like he's using the fists of god.
