I have to admit, I believed in mediums and that they indeed can connect with the dead. I guess I watched too many Long Island Medium episodes.
I did some googling and found Bob Olsen's top 10 psychics site, whereby the psychics are verified and re-verified, and are only recommended because they are so good. I selected one based on the description and despite the steep cost, decided to give it a try.
The reading was done via phone, and here's what happened:
First off, he told me he saw a maternal female spirit that is pointing to her head (cause of death). She was surrounded by plants and flowers, like at a nursery. OK, I thought this must be my grandma, although cause of death was never confirmed, we think she may have had a stroke (head). She loved flowers and gardening. I got chills, my grandma came through!
After that nothing jived.
Apparently my grandma sang "I've got sunshine" to him - as a message to me. Which is funny, because my grandma does not speak English and probably never heard this song in her life, hence she'd never use this as a message. He continued that her message is for me to always see sunshine, not to hurt myself (??). How vague and weird.
He then said the spirit said "Derek". I told the psychic I have never met anyone by that name, so he changed his story that Derek is entering my life in 2015.
He told me my guardian angel is James. Common name, but knowing I and 100% of my family members are non native English speakers, the name references seemed wrong.
He said my spirit says congrats to the person that just got divorced. It may sound weird, but noone in my fam is divorced, at least not that I know of.
He said my spirit says 22 - which may be a hit as my birthday falls on the 22nd.
Lastly, he says he sees "Colorado", not the state in itself (mountains etc), but the word "Colorado". Here's where I told him none of these make sense because my family is from a country where no one speaks English, and they nor I have ever been to Colorado. **On a side note, I emailed my psychic using my work email. It's possible he used to that look up the company I work for and he figured out we have a major office in Colorado - but I myself have never been there**
There are two excellent results from my reading:
1. my psychic realized he was so off, he quickly refunded my money, w/out me even asking for it. His explanation was that it was probably the next client's spritis that were impatient and trying to come through.
2. I have realized mediums are fake, and can give this a rest and save my money
I have to say I was very disappointed with the reading because I did want confirmation and enlightenment as those folks get on TV.
