Today i debated with several Christians and it was a very interesting discussion. Anyway, they challenged me to prey to god and ask for undeniable proof He exists, and they would prey for me too. I haven't preyed yet, but i'm wondering if i should get on my knees and ask for that proof; or should i do nothing and forget about their challenge and carry on as normal. What would you guys do?

The only "prey" here is you! lol As for praying, give it a try and let us know what happens. As for what proof would convince you, I dunno, ask for something that only a supreme omniscient being could do |

Thing is, if you pray for a sign and then, say, someone you haven't heard from in a very long time contacts you out of the blue, would that be interpreted as a sign? These are the sorts of things that religious people would claim. It's highly subjective. Even if you prayed for a lottery win and then it happened, could that really be down to praying or just coincidence? How would anyone ever know? You just can't prove God exists by simply asking for a sign. Christians will just use these examples as their 'proof'.

I would pray for something that cant happen due to coinicidence.
For example if you have a safe. Lock the safe, and pray for God to put an apple inside. Nice and easy for him to do if real.
Open the safe, if no apple, then no God! Simple

Good point. But how about something more practical like ABBA reforming??? Well i prayed for liverpool to overcome incredible odds and beat Barcelona, and it happened, but then I prayed for Brighton to draw or beat Man City and they didn't. |
