Its ok I confuse everyone, But what gets me is supper, I have breakfast, lunch/dinner, then tea, occasionally my kids will have supper usually a piece of fruit about half an hour before they go to bed, but I have seen and heard people discussing what to have for supper and its like a main meal so whats with that is that just another word for tea/dinner

It's a funny one. For me tea is something you may have as a snack in the afternoon. Dinner is usually another way of saying supper and would usually say dinner. However, here in Australia many Aussies use the term dinner to cover lunch as well. So when I ask people to dinner I have to say something like "would you like to come to dinner this evening?" in case they think I mean lunch. The word supper is not used here. I would personally never use the word dinner for lunch and woul always say lunch. Divided by a common language William
