I hate the programme 'Golden Balls' as I always feel for those who chose to share the winnings as opposed to steal, therefore winning nothing when their opponent 'steals'. It's a game based on the philosophical 'The Prisoner's Dilemma', which is also the theory behind 'plea bargaining' in some judicial systems. I think it clearly illustrates the benefits of greed and lying.
If you were one of the last two; would you 'split' or 'steal'?
I would 'split' and probably lose the lot, but at least I would sleep well at night. I prefer 'Weakest Link', at least I can answer (some of) the questions!

I'm the same Moonriver I would rather split, and go home with nothing than steal. I also prefer a quiz I can watch while making tea and just answer questions on, without actually having to watch. Although if i'm honest I dont watch either anymore as I watch neighbours instead

I'm also enjoying the snooker - but tend to vary between the two.
I wander in from work about that time and 'he who must learn to obey' usually has a cup of tea waiting so I sit and watch whatever he has on while I drink the tea - bliss time ;D

I would Steal, but if I won then give them a cheque for half afterwards. That way I have a clear concience (because if they stole we would both have nothing, if they had split they would not lose out) and some cash. I have been puzzled why none of the contestants I've seen have commented that they could / would do this. But DO spend an awful lot of time saying how guilty they feel about it.
I did kick off a "goldenball" thread so I won't rehash it all here, but it's the best programme I've ever seen for busting the wooo. In the "bin or win" round (and also Deal or No Deal) anyone trying to pull the "I sense this....." "Lord is looking over me......" line has always been busted on the occasions I've watched.
BTW as I'm usually eating my tea at this point, prior to coming on shift, you can switch from Goldenballs during their ad breaks to Weakest Link to get an idea of how it's going, then when GB finishes for the ads there's time to cut over to WL for the final round to see who wins. Best of both, why deny yourself?
P.s. To be honest I wasn't puzzled at all why the thieves never offered to split once they'd got the cash, they'r greedy mistrustful sods whose main aim is to shift the blame on to their victim

Weakest link, i love the way they try and hide behind their platforms and trying to blend in so they wont be noticed by Anne
