Just plain dodgy marketing/fraud

This is nothing to do with woo fraud, hence the fact that it is in this section.

However, I think it is quite scary as so many people I have come across are rather daft and they might fall for it.

I received a text message this morning, and it came up on my phone as it was from 'Chris'. I have never put 'Chris' into my address book.

It said.....

Jane - Check your email URGENTLY (then gave the email address) - You need to read this before you get home tonight. Thanks. Chris@Challenor.

I checked my email. Nothing.

Then my phone beeped again. This time it said....

If you cannot access your email then go to www.challenorproperty.com/quicksellpartnerapril28.html but be prepared for a shock Jane!

Well I did go there, and it was crap. Help yourself.

What I was really pissed off about is the way that they tell you it is urgent and get you all a bit concerned. Especially as it is on first name terms, both ways. I texted back to demand that they remove my number from their mailing list and it will not send. It says 'network out of order'. That is not my network though. I can send texts to others quite easily.

I found that difficult to read, what with the colours and such. But what I did read made me realise that it wasn't worth it anyway.

Why don't you try emailing [e-mail] (from a crappy email address that you don't mind being spammed) and telling him to go f*** himself (and kindly remove your number)?
