Ahhh, it was recorded for me.
Same old rubbish really. All these big stories but absolutely nothing more than anecdotal. Johneie coming in and 'doing her thang' and then Mr. Lawman coming in and saying the same old stuff. I love how Ian connected Ouija to devil worship and then suggested they go and do it in the front room.
As to how the chair got up into the loft... Erm, that looked like a modern plywood ceiling. Perhaps.... just perhaps... the original ceiling had a larger opening into the attic and when the ceiling was replaced the access hatch was smaller?
Did anyone else catch when, at the start, they said that the house was built in 1870 and then started saying that the house was over 200 years old, and that the girl that Ian named purely by first name as 'Elouisa or Louisa' was found in the history books and 'lived nearby in 1790'... Well, *I'M* convinced!
Because people who died in 1790 regularly go and haunt places built 80 years after they died, and on a spot they never visited...

You have to watch the repeat of this weeks episode. The lady who owns the house they *cough 'Clense' is much better at being possessed / going into a trance like state, than the *cough 'Professional mediums'.
I had to laugh at the fact that Jimmy (whatever her name is) had to leave and did a runner because it was all too much for her.

I did force myself to watch one episode all the way through.
I'm not sure I've ever seen a less ethical paranormal investigation programme.
It worried me deeply.

Never seen it, but checked out Ian's MySpace. Looks like he thinks he's a male Buffy or something, based on the tattoos he's got. w**ker.

this show is atrocious. can someone tell me in one episode ian lawman said he trapped an evil spirit in an old chair and then they burnt it. does that not mean that this "evil spirit" would now escape? and on the episode aired on tuesday 27th may the homeowner miraculously was "possessed" by 3 spirits. she wasn't a medium, etc, but yet ian lawman asked her to become possessed by "michael" the evil one. does that not go against what a real medium is? i was disgusted, it was a sham, ian lawman pretended he couldn't get rid of the evil spirit himself, how convenient given that he knew this woman had already faked 2 possessions before this. i'm also sick and tired of tv channels fobbing us of with garbage like this, talk about insulting your intelligence.

It's basically a bad TV play, the same one put on week after week with a slightly different cast.

3rd June - Ian 'failed'. It was a house I would love to live in as it has an extremely interesting tunnel build into the rock which historically was used as a detention center for the place when it was a nunner, or something.
But, as usual, the same old theatrics and assumption. The girl, an 18 year old with a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp. Apparently her mood swings and arguing with her mum were because of the 'negative energy caused by the haunting'... no, it couldn't possibly be the behaviour of most teenagers now, could it! Hmmm, do these 'mood swings and arguements' happen a few days a month perhaps...?
The time all the family and friends spent in the tunnel. Ian and Johnie worked them up into such a state. One sad mare had a panic attack which was instantly attributed to a paranormal attack and others were so anxious that anything was enough to have them run out of the tunnel. When Ian 'collapsed' and became possessed said sad mare started hyperventlating in panic and fear...
God it was irritating.

again, no true medium would EVER ask an unprofessional, every day citizen to "channel spirits". this was a GIRL. i've said before if anyone asked me to allow my son to take part in anything like that i would tell them where to go. in fact, i would want to report it but who to? it's so utterly fake, like the girl who was hyperventilating with sheer fear, she should have been made to leave completely. to me, you could see the girl could do what she wanted with her mother. let's just hope that other teenagers don't use bad spirits as an excuse. where will it end?

Another stonkingly rubbish episode! The typical assortment of stories and theatrics. A couple with a 'sensitive' lady who kept seeing all these things and acting the medium suddenly got all timid and frightened after being psyched up bigtime by Ian and then sending her off on her own to the most immaculately tidy abandoned room I've ever seen.
The worst thing was when they showed several digital camera photos with 'orbs' in, and the parapsychologist was talking about how although some may well be dust, there are many others that were spiritual energy. And the lady suddenly used these dust shots as evidence that her house is haunted and that she's telling the truth and has these wonderous powers (or 'gift' as she calls it).
Same old stuff, definitely the most boring of the lot so far.

He's making a joke of what parapsychology is. Instead of offering the rational, psychological explanations that the field is supposed to do (Matthew Smith, Richard Wiseman etc) he's speaking as if it's all fact.
