Yes fluffet i remember watching that episode, it was disgraceful Ian Lawman should be ashamed of himself by putting these occupants through this, scareing them for no reason, making up ridiculous stories about the tunnel and what happened there many years ago im mean for christ sake did he show any proof...NO!
What i can't get my head around are the people on the show going off into possessions it's so false indeed. Ian Lawman is an embarressment not only to himself but to the viewers he leaves himself wide open for ridicule and the public taking the p*ss out of him, he doesn't deserve respect as he doesn't respect the people on his show (more fool them). I would expect most of the properties on the show are not at all haunted and they don't rationlise any other explanation to what been going on it's just pure entertainment.

I mean i understand the people who venture on his show have consented to take part and may have even contacted the production crew in answer to some advert but its clear at least in this case this mother and daughter were of a highly vulnerable state and from what their language and physical appearance gave away on the show id say appeared to both be showing signs of suffering from some kind of depression and perhaps had other difficulties in thier fragile relationship with each other that were apparent.
Both mother and daughter looked drawn and troubled in appearance with the mother in particular seeming to be easily taken in by most anything that was offered to her by way of woo type explaination. The poor women didnt have the best verbal skills and seemed out of her depth in dealing with the problems she and her daughter were having....this only served to make me feel even more that to allow them to be the focus of a show like this and all it entails was particularly shrewd and remiss .

We're increasingly seeing the rise of a generation that wants to get on TV under any circumstances - any circumstances what so ever. That could be as a pizz poor performer on the likes of Britains not got talent, X factor or Pap Idol or even worse rubbish like Big Brother. 'Celebrity', and I use the term loosely since it now applies to anyone whose been on Tv more than once, is to many a valid, attainable career move that will take them out of the proverbial doldrums and into a golden world of opportunity, money and recognition. They see the likes of the late Jade Goody, her mum, her husband and numerous other talentless 'people like me' elevated to celebrity - or Nonebrity - status in mags such as Hello, Goodbye, Nuts, Heat and 1001 others and will sell their souls to a production company to achieve the same. Talent, skill & hard work does not form part of their thought process. Maybe these people wanted a shot at fame and paid the price for being unable to cope and became victims of media exploitation. morganp

I'd say that 'happenings' on these type of shows are deliberately engineered or encouraged by the production teams involved in them. In rare instances some perfectly natural event may occur such as a door opening by itself due to changes in internal air pressure and it will more than likely be misinterpreted as paranormal activity.
But that's entertainment as The Jam once sang....

thank you for the reply. it amazes me why mr lawman and company and others like them enjoy doing these things to people if they are searching for the truth you would think all investigators and mediums ,psychics ect would know better, what do they say fame fortune root of all evil at others expense. they all should be ashamed but i doubt it.

I think money, recognition and celebrity status has a lot to do with it. IMO I'd do the same, especially for the money ;D

Does anyone have any more updates in regard to mark webb exposing ian lawman? The last i heard from another forum was that mark webb had been threatened by ian lawman. Surely it cant have gone all quiet. More importantly has living with the dead been comissioned for a third series??? I hope not......

I think it backfired IMO on Mark, at the end of the day, Mark will come off as the one with a grudge. If he truly felt that LWTD were conning people, he would have spoken up during the show or straight after leaving.
IMO that is.............
