"Our family name was Johnson but I always felt mine should be Acorah. That was my gran's name when she was married to her first husband, who was a sailor born in the Netherlands. Gran said the name was favourable in numerology, relating to the Sun and the beginning of all things. "

I thought maybe he was bullsh*ting, like everything else that passes through that mouth of his. I worked something out, based on the Kreed Kafer anagram.
Anagram of Derek Acorah - Choak Reader
Looked for Choak in websters dictionary, it said "see choke"
So I did:
choke: 1. breathe with great difficulty, as when experiencing a strong emotion; "She choked with emotion when she spoke about her deceased husband"
2. constrict (someone's) throat and keep from breathing
Now isnt this interesting?
It could mean a "reader" who chokes (1) has trouble breathing etc (when possesed!)
or, which i sincereley hope, it might mean to literally choke (2) the reader. Good idea, yes...?

Anagram of Derek Acorah - Choak Reader Cake Hoarder is a better anagram, maybe sam is an acronym for Sponge And Marzipan.

Gran said the name was favourable in numerology, relating to the Sun and the beginning of all things. " The Psychic World of Derek Acorah, by John Sutton and Derek Acorah I've read that apparently "Acorah" is neither a Dutch name nor one that appears in Derek's family history. FWIW...

Problem is you cant trust John Sutton, who is behind much of the "evidence" attacking Acorah and the origins of his name.
John Sutton once came to me with "evidence" to expose Acorah. But when i released he was completely off his trolley I told him to stick it.
Sutton actually told me that when on the phone with Derek once, Derek used his psychics powers to make Suttons wife fall off a ladder! No joke!
