How about "I'm a Celebrity Psychic, Leave Me in the Middle of the Jungle and I'll sense My Way Out of Here?"
Instead of Ant and Dec dishing up the humour, Karl and Stuart could host it. Ample opportunity there for showing off masculinity and hardman stunts too - perfect!
Tasks would of course include divining for water, communing with deceased jungle tribal chiefs to ascertain the whereabouts of edible fungi and, naturally, someone eating a kangaroo's penis (it's not "I'm a celeb" without it.)
Any suggestions for celebs? I vote Colin Fry for camp cook...

Lol at Colin Fry as Camp cook (in every sense of the words).
But in a more serious point it does seem as if there is a link between the interest ishown in reality shows and medium shows, both having seen a huge rise in popularity on the tv screens over the last ten or so years i cant help but wonder if there is somekind of similar draw for the average joe out there to both of their premises.
Reality tv is to me a contradiction in that its about escapisim and anything but reality. Psychic tv shows seem to share that draw of escapisim from reality for the punter.
Reality tv has nutured this "i can be/do anything and im owed it" culture , the fame celebrity obsessed culture, the im as good as i think i am culture and bugger the rest of you , but even more so its fed or perhaps even created this culture of not facing up to or tackling the things that are wrong or crap in your life but instead subscribing to the quick fix answers on a plate hairy fairy it will all magically sort itself out if one.Its should be renamed unreality tv because thats what it inspires in some people , unrealistic ideas of what the answers are for them or what they are infact capable of , it may inspire some but only if they want to be a puppert popstar/model/z lister ...for the rest it simply reinforces delusions.
In that sense psychic type programming does the same , the quick fix , the unreality option , the if i believe it enough it will all magically come right. The idea that there is some big something out there that is in control or can fix us instead of the more real option of simply facing up to the reality and taking action to better things for ourselves.

That genuinely made me laugh out loud romany. The thought of all the psychics summoning their spirit guides to find the safe food & trying to get possessed is very amusing. I'd definitely watch this show.
Uri Geller on washing up duties ... Do you think he could resist bending the cutlery ... Cue the blowtorch for the tricky penknife
Edit: spelling stuff

fluffet, you make some good points I think.
den, glad I made somebody laugh. I like the idea of Uri on washing up duty. Gary Mannion could be First Aider and Derek Acorah could channel Michael Jackson for the camp fire entertainment. Bob's your uncle!

I think we should make deggsie do all of the challenges. Stick him in a shed full of spiders and make him scream his confessions that he is in fact a fake git. After that he wins the challenge.

The idea of getting that whole crew of psychics dumped in the middle of any jungle with the most creepy crawlies on the planet is sooooooo delicious, oh that we could make it happen. I'd watch it with great relish !!;D
