I would just like to add a comment about Jay Love:- as a lot of you with out knowing him have said he's this, and he's that, if you got to know Jay you would change your mind on him i'm sure.
My comments have been purely based on the way HE contacted me, and the way he conducted himself throughout the exchange of emails.
I doubt I would change my mind on him, I can see through his act.
Also someone on here has met him and described him as insecure.
Also the fact that Jay called himself a wog as a bit of a joke, i actually found quite offensive.
I know Jay extremely well, we have been mates now for the past 5yrs and find him an excellant medium, i have been to his mediumship evenings, trance days etc, etc, so do not think these comments on certain mediums is on really. I have worked with jay also.
So he has convinced you with his act, well done to him. You obviously are not aware of the methods these people use, so therefore you are easily fooled.
The fact you have also worked with him, suggests it is in your best interest financially to defend him.
After all we know that one medium rarely if ever will expose another.
Yes i do agree with comments on Derek Acorha as he is "FAKE" Have seen him live and had about 6 plants sitting in front., he's rude and arrogant with it. Regards Bella
He had 6 plants! lol
So in other words he gave 6 people readings that you could not explain so you decided that he used plants?
How incredibly strange.
You couldnt explain how Acorah performed his readings so you decided that he must be using plants.
Whereby with Jay Love youjust believe everything he says.
I have seen Derek live a few times, he does NOT use plants, he doesnt need to.
I was able to explain every reading he gave easily, how? Well i have studied and understand the methods they use.
Thats why my opinion on mediums is worth more than yours.
A bad ass who will beat you like he's using the fists of god.
Bella, save yourself a lot of heartache, all you will relate, of your experiences, is what you will be told, is anecdotal. There was a man on here a while back named Joshua, like you he had a great belief in spirit, unfortunately he must of left disillusioned. You will never be able to Prove what you say.
Jon, just because I said the I felt the man was insecure, doesn't mean I didn't like him, I found him a pleasant man. (I am sure that there has been times when you felt insecure) ;D I raked out the tape I had with him/Japar, in 07, it was just an hour discussion, I found it extremely interesting.
I have said before, I know a lot of mediums, (they are friends) and I am sure they are not knowingly fraudulent. (if they are) I try to find out what they do.
As I said Jon, it was more a discussion, not a reading. as for putting it on line, I would not know where to start, not that I would if I could. As for ego, I admit I do derive some pleasure reading (genuine e-mails) on people I have helped in different ways, but ego? Pot and Kettle, comes to mind. ;D I also have a tape, a reading with Jayne Wallace from about 10yrs ago. One thing that did stand out, she insisted I was going to move house, needed something much smaller. I had seriously thought about it for a while, never did move, still thinking about it seriously I know that if I mentioned it now she would say. It must of been spiritually. She is still a friend. Things that both Jay and Jayne suggested, have come to pass, as have stuff I got from Ivy Northage 40yrs ago. Of course, as will be pointed out, I may only remember the bits that did come to pass, and forget the rest.
Just read the articles - how come none of these 'psychics' can ever spell? Is it that having been given the 'gift' of being psychic they somehow forfeit their ability to write in proper sentences?
Also, just as an aside, how come when they're doing readings they never come out with any names from other countries, such as Polish names, Chinese names, Greek names etc - we are a multicultural nation after all - they're always the most plain names they can think of such as John, Mary, Margaret etc. Obviously it's safer for them but I'd like to see what their excuse would be if someone actually asked them about that. Just a thought.

Excellent observation and one I have made before.
Psychics in general are usually quite thick, lack of education, critical thinking and general intellence.
They only know their own culture. So thats why the overwhelming majority of people who go to see a psychic repeatedly will be white english people, as they will get the right results, due to the psychic knowing the most likely names and situations that would fit the victim.
Many times when I visit a psychic they struggle with coming up with names as due to my dark tan they find it hard to place my ethnicity, the fact I am half English means many of the typical names would in fact fit, names like John, Mary, Margeret, Elizabeth and so on.
One reading i had they first ASKED me if I was Indian, I said no. They then said they could see sand and camels! Now lets ignore the obvious racism here, they assumed that cause i wasnt Indian I must be from the Middle East, Iran, Egypt and so on.
This proved beyond a doubt that they were just looking at me and guessing.
The fact that Cyprus only has sand on the beaches (like every other island on the planet) and the only camel is in the Zoo seems lost on the spirits that day.
HOWEVER, I remember seeing Gordon Smith giving some readings in America where there is a high Hispanic demographic, in his reading he came up with the names Maria, Margereta and so on, which of course he got hits with.
The eyes open mediums like Gordon simply do their research, and when it comes to cultures like Spnish, Italians, Greeks etc it is easy with a bit of research to know the most common names.
However I maintain an Inidian is the hardest person to guess names for, as you simply wouldnt get away with "I am getting the name Patel" does this mean anything to you? lol
A bad ass who will beat you like he's using the fists of god.
They actually ASKED you outright if you were Indian? Sand and camels? Just how ignorant are they? Actually don't answer that, it's blatantly obvious.
How did you react to that, just out of interest? Did you just keep quiet so as not to feed them? I've done that before, and I've also deliberately lied to see if they 'knew' I was lying. Of course they never did.

I didnt react i simply remained quiet. I dont lie to psychics, never, I dont want to give them an excuse. The old "if you lie to spirit they will lie back" bull.
I find that simply not allowing them to cold read me, means they fail every time

Hi Jon, I've just read your article and I wish I could have been there to see them squirming, they must have been really frustrated with you.
During the readings I've had, I usually don't speak at all other than to answer 'yes' or 'no', so they tend to get nowhere with me either. I've never had a dead motorcyclist appear but I have been told on a few occasions by different people that I have an Alsation next to me - which, funny enough, Derek Acorah used to do when giving private readings in the 80s and apparently so did Hitler, as Bob Dezon told me recently... What good company I'm in!
The occasion where I lied was once when I was so bored I just agreed with everything the woman said to see how far she went with it, just for sheer amusement. Although, weirdly enough, half way through my reading she suddenly shouted 'Cox' - which did make me wonder what on earth she was seeing as obviously I couldn't tell if it WAS a name - and this made no sense to me whatsoever (but gave my friends a good laugh). Years later, I got married to someone I'd known for years and his surname was/is Fairburn - only after I was married did his Mum appear one day with his plastic wristband from his birth, displaying him with HER surname of......... Cox. He hadn't known that'd been his name either for a short time.
Not sure why I veered into that but I just found it interesting, sorry!

You know Jo this is something i was thinking about the other night but with a bit of a variation . Not only is the UK becoming more diverse in its populations backgrounds with many different ethnicities meeting, marrying, having kids etc but even first names have changed vastly in their popularity and diversity now with more choices and even made up names becoming more and more popular.
Whereas a John or Mary or Margaret may have provided a sure fire hit as would perhaps a scots or irish heritage somewhere down the line for many the mediums must be well pissed off that now names such as Chantelle , Kylie , Jordan, or Brooklyn Romeo and Xavier etc are just as likely or possibilities than the ever were before ....add to that Polish , Nigerian , Indian , Pakistani , and any other country you care to think of now being a far more common past heritage in the UK and they must have a right headache coming on when todays generations becomes tomorrows "spirits" hehe.
Yeah, no doubt that'll be another excuse for them to use when they can't give any names - "well I could hear what they said but I couldn't quite work it out/pronounce it."
Its a thin appeal to a familiarity that doesn't actually exist, kind of like me saying to someone called Robert Campbell whom i think is Scots "Awright there Rab, whits the score wi aw the mental banter, Moan noo Boab ...yir talking tae a pal here". The guys name is neither Rab nor Boab nor Bob ....its Robert and im assuming he is Scots by his names in the hope i can win him round with a bit of colloquial banter to influence him....excrutiatingly embarrassing when Robert turns out to be a Nigerian national whose mum liked Campbell's soup and Robert Powell films and gave him the name as a tribute
