Have been watching some of this show, not sure what to make of it apart from feeling like it was another Most Haunted Live, have been watching it for the last couple of hours on/off and i am absolutely bored out of my brains. My 10 year old son said to me earlier "Mum why are they making it up?" didn't really know what to say to him, couldn't say "oh it's for entertainment" because it was so tediously boring.
I know it's meant to be an investigation programme, but i didn't see it like that (too much like MHL) and i can't see this taking off the format is too predictable and so unprofessional. The presenter reminded me of a young Moira Stewart (dull). To me it just lacks any real professional edge. I will not be watching any more of this show infact it was so boring i kept thinking of Harry Hill making an appearance.

It was so arse achingly boring and badly put together I actually can't bring myself to add to the already gargantuan universal landslide of slagging it's already taken online.
It's left me feeling more sorry for the people involved in the teams than I ever imagined it would particularly Team Impact...they were left by the producers, researchers and tv bods behind them like paranormal fish in a barrel waiting to be shot by the verbal bullets of the assembled sub groups of viewers.
MH diehards screaming their disapproval despite a few months earlier screaming the same disapproval at MH...Bored casual Halloween hungry viewers who just wanted a bit of a fun romp...paranormal investigators and hobbyists who wanted a true reflection of what they think they do ...skeptics who knew the attempt at entertainment and serious investigation was impossible ....cynics who hate everything and live to slag off anything and everything, and in the midst of it all people who simply werent even that bothered either way who couldn't believe the sheer dullness of it all.

It was possibly the dullest 3 hours of TV ever aired in the history of TV

Utterly b***cks, watched about 45 mins ,went to bed. Come back M H all is forgiven. At least we had a laugh with M H and we knew what too expect. Poor sods who took part must be wringing their hands this morning in disbelief, that they took part in something so crass.

They are totally crap from the presenter to the 8 twits that have no clue I hope Sky cancel this ASAP I'd rather watch a live feed of a wall that has just freshly been painted for 3 hours!

I managed to watch this, this morning and I'm not proud or gloating when I say this, but it was really awful. Infact, embarrassing to Livingtv.

God, it must have been bad. I've just turned it on now, to see for myself how bad it is.

Well now I've seen it - yep, it's as bad as everyone's saying. It looks like a bad primary school play or something, where none of the kids know where they're supposed to be standing or what they're supposed to be doing. Plus that woman presenter must have increased Paul Ross's popularity tenfold with her plank-like persona. Talk about lifeless, she's the most dead thing on the programme! So stuff this for a game of soldiers, I'm off to bed.

Well...at the risk of being certified (and due to a stinking cold grounding me all weekend) i'm sitting infront of the box for night two of Paranormal Investigation - Barely Alive.
The first 5 mins has been a replay of the "get to know the team" segment they showed last night...as if they realised no one really knows who these people are and in the vain hope that viewers will remember them.
Next 5 mins sees Naga Munchetty speaking to a very subdued Alex and Laura who spent the night alone in the castle. Naga took a real pasting last night from the viewers on FB which wasn't altogether warrented when you remember that her background is News ..she simply did what she is used to doing and presumably was hired for ...delivered information with little emotion or bias...something that the producers should have known was going to go down like a lead ballon with the "entertain me" viewers but chose to ignore.
The toll of comments and feedback seems to be written on her face which is a shame and she is trying to crack a smile and be more animated but so far the studio segment has the feel of people a little crushed and low.
Alex and Laura after spending the night there sat being interviewed by Naga looking like they were about as excited or scared or interested as they might standing in the checkout queue at ASDA. Whether the feedback from last nights show had effected them or not its hard to tell ...they along with the rest of the teams were similarly uncharismatic and subduded the night before so theres not much comparison to go on.
They move onto showing short VT's of their stay in the castle rooms last night...a dust particle orb is seen....no one says anything of interest about it really or looks in anyway bothered one way or the other.
25 mins in and the investigation starts with GPS in the woods ....they still look as if they are wandering round ASDA rather than live on tv . The chat is monotone and even when its revelled one of them has to sit on a chair calling out in the woods whilst motion sensors surround them waiting to go off when a fox ...sorry a ghost approaches the only whimper of excitement is a meak "what ?" from Barri.
Phil (in the chair) reckons he hears growling...we can't hear a thing at home as we are treated to Phil at least trying to keep the chat going..."Theres something moving out there and its not an animal what animal would be out there moving at night"
Several Phil.....Several .....still at least your saying something.
Four people in the dark cluthching gadgets cold and a little bored ...this is what the reality is for those who venture out of a weekend to search for activity that seldom if ever at all happens.
The question people need to ask is do they want to watch the documentation of that hobby live or does it in anyway provide anything at all useful to an audience ?
Lets for a second forget about the entertainment side of things ...its clear that this format , these teams , and the studio set up can't provide that in the way much of the audience expects...
Lets look at what documenting an investigation live like this really offers and to whom it offers it ?
With the absense of the everyday viewer tuning in a certainty after the last night...all thats left will be people who do this as a hobby watching and the odd interested party...are they learning anything from watching it ? Are they seeing a new approach or technique or even being inspired to use scientific or rational thinking ? Or are they simply watching a recreation of the last time they spent 3 hours wandering around doing much the same thing these teams are ?
I just can't see the benefit of a show without any real studio debate , without any real input from those outside the investigation circle of fans, without any real discussion about the validity of the experiments and techniques being used, without anything in the way of analysis or talk about pretty much anything really.
If this is what Investigators and those interested in the paranormal have been waiting for and demanding then they have been asking and demanding for nothing more than a 3 hour cctv footage style reproduction of their last outing to watch in the comfort of their own home. Whats the point in that if nothing is discussed and nothing is really achieved on air ?
All it acheives in endless comments from those who do this as a hobby saying " finally a show that really is representative of what goes on in an investigation" ....if thats true and I think it most likely is then perhaps the question they should be asking themselves is "why do I do this at all when its clear evidence is rarely captured and any that is seems to languish on a website or in a camera never properly analysed or debated outwith those who took it and ultimately debunked or explained if it is "

Well it's finally finished and I don't mean just tonights show...I mean PIL as a concept and quite possibly the careers of most everyone involved in it.
When the show was announced I commented on how the shows producers etc seemed to be aiming this at the Facebook generation and how nowadays a show often lives or dies on the buzz and comments it creates on the various social networking sites and internet in general.
Well it's spectacularly backfired on them because the very same thing has surely guaranteed that news of how cringingly bad the show was is winging its way around the nation at breakneck speed to even those who didn't have the misfortune of watching.
I think it's pretty safe to say any chance of a series is as dead as some of the personalities on the show.

Looks like it's back to the ouija board for Living TV . It's not as though they weren't told in advance that the format and choice of teams was inherently flawed - they could have made some changes before the first programme aired. Looking at the comments on the PIL Facebook page cannot make for happy reading for the producers and Barri Ghias arrogance has now well and truly backfired. Perhaps in all the trumpet blowing for the show Living actually forgot to post out the invites to the ghosts?. morganp

It was so dull, Barri was so dull. I love the fact he has fallen so low after he attacked me.
I was 100% right about everything i said about him and GPS.
I would loved to have seen his smug little face when he realised what a total disaster the show had been

Could this possibly mean ,that we no longer have to put up with any more of this type of show. Or, as we post, are there some other nitwits sitting in a room somewhere trying to come up with another format.
