I don't think there's enough room on this forum or even the internet for a discussion on this

Women like loving caring nurturing relationships, men have an inherent need to spread their seed... the two do not make for compatability so we just allow for differences edited to say ... back to the point men can't see past their noses because they truly believe they are always right and have no need to look further, if they did they would see it is women who are always right ;D will wait for backlash ...... and no innuendo to that thankyou very much!!

There isn't a lot of difference between men and women apart from physiological of course. There are more differences between people of the same sex.

Its quite simple. Men should be allowed to drink beer, go to football and swear a lot while women should stay near the kitchen sink. - fact

Actually I kick my man out to the pub all the time. I let him go to watch footy too because I don't want it on my TV, there are much better things to watch. (I get a bit excited when football is on anyway and loud!)
As for staying near the kitchen sink, that for me would be only after he has cooked dinner and I wash up. He does breakfast and lunch on his days off too, my contribution is the washing up.
I clean, wash and iron and thats it, I'm happy with that.

Seriously though, i think most men help around the house, although admittedly i do all the housework which includes decorating/cleaning windows/cutting grass, but that's not because i have to do it, but that i can(and probably do it a bit better than he would) I think men just cut the emotional crap out and keep it simple.

Ah but he wouldn't see it that way. All he would see is that he's been slaving away working, thought he'd have a well earned pint, and had to battle the elements and fight his way for transport home. He also knew you would have had his dinner ready, so regardless of what time he turned up, you would be there lovingly waiting for him to serve up your creation for his pleasure. ;D ;D ;D

Had a similar thing a few years ago while my ex hubby and I were making a last ditch attempt to sort our marriage out, we arranged a kid free night in, I went all out dressed up makeup plastered on, cooked his favourite 3 courses, picked out his fave film on DVD and generally went all out to impress him. He turned up an hour late in mucky overalls and just slumped on sofa, shovelled his food in as quick as was humanly possible then informed me he was going out with his mates. no suprise to find out we divorced soon after lol Edited to apologise for ranting, Its been almost 4 weeks since I stopped smoking and the moods seem to have really kicked in

There isn't a lot of difference between men and women apart from physiological of course. There are more differences between people of the same sex. Once again I agree with exile. I dislike people being lumped into groups. Some people are inconsiderate, thoughtless and lazy, others are loving, caring and industrious. If there's a rule, there's almost always an exception to it. Not all men just want to spread their seed and not all women want a stable loving relationship. And if we're talking about the men who do want to spread their seed, well Ok fine, but to come out with the line that you just can't help it...give me a break.

Yeah I know but the point has been made here before that men are programmed to want to spread their seed. Even if they are, they're still in possession of a conscience.
BTW I'm running on fumes today. I only got 3 hours sleep last night so I'm afraid my posts will make even less sense than usual. Apologies in advance for saying anything daft.

All depends on the man really - you can't put people into groups as has been said above.
I don't do a great deal around the house tbh - we both work but he is home 11/2 hours before me, so gets the dinner on and does the housework. My job is loading the dishwasher!
Nobody irons unless absolutely necessary, it's a total waste of time!
He does the grass - male thing I think; likes to fiddle with a petrol engine!

Yeah I know but the point has been made here before that men are programmed to want to spread their seed. Even if they are, they're still in possession of a conscience. Yes I know ( unless they are sociopaths ) but I think that there is a basic need to distribute seed and that's why men think about sex more than women on average. Well that's what I've read anyway. I'm not saying all men are going around having sex with whoever they can but there is a inherent need to make sure our species continues. But my original post on this was only meant as a joke and not to stir up debate on putting people into types and groups, we are a complicated species and no one will be exactly like another as we know. I'm sure this subject could make up a whole other thread so I will shut my mouth now Hellyp I don't think I've ever read anything from you that sounded daft
