I think its mainly because the "suspect" is a member of the family and they dont want to risk anyone influencing what she say's, of course there could still be more to it than that.

There has been an implication in the media as well that they want to interview other members of the family before those said family members get a chance to speak to Shannon.

Latest news the stepdad has been arrested for being in possession of child pornography, Although none of the images were of Shannon or her siblings. And he is not implicated in her abduction.

She should NEVER go back to that family in my opinion. She would be better off in foster care

I thought it was in pretty poor taste when the family were all letting off fireworks and getting pissed when she was found. Of course they were thrilled she was found alive and physically well but who knows what she had been through?

I read in the paper the other day that Shannon's mother has only seen her behind glass and she has had no psychical contact with her daughter, they also say that she can be kept by social services for up to 42 weeks, it makes you think why there is such strict legislations (soz for spelling) in place.

The recent news about the stepfather being remanded in custody for possessing images (some of them grade 4 [worst is grade 5 so these must be bad]) would explain why the poor kid has not been allowed home - I agree with Jon she will be better off away from this family

It's reported that she was having an affair with Shannons abductor, i wonder if she failed to admit that to the police at the time?

The were ....... 2 brothers. 2 cousins. 2 aunts. 2 sisters. 2 mothers. 1 father. 1 grandfather. Not a lot. Sorry there was a Lot. But there were only 5 people? But not Norfolk!!!
