Ken Korczak: In the the not-to-distant future, computers will become more intelligent than human beings, and eventually achieve god-like powers. Eventually, an all-powerful God Computer will emerge, which will be the savior of mankind. This God Computer will have the ability to reach into the past and resurrect dead human beings, and create a paradise for them to live in forever. If this sounds like science fiction or religious nonsense, many of our most advanced scientists today say that it is not nonsense, but is already starting to happen.read morewww.starcopywriter.com

I'm a bit of a standing joke at work when it comes to computers. I only have to walk past one to send the printer off line, and it keeps rejecting my password when it knows that it's right. My colleagues think it's operator error but i know better. If computers are the future for human then I might be the biggest threat to mankind yet

There was an episode similar in the original Star Trek. Are we not already slaves to technology? Does the kettle not say fill me to boil? The worrying thing is we have already tested brainwaves connected to computers and it works. So a computer with a warped mind does not bear thinking about. Maybe we will have a small implant installed in our bodies to intercept the web in our thoughts. WOOOOO freaky stuff! By saying that we are really in our infancy with computers and who knows what the following generations will achieve within the computer industry when a extremely powerful computer is the size of pin prick. Nano technology etc.

Plus assorted episodes of "Doctor Who" and "Star Trek". Isaac Asimov also touched on the subject of the God-Computer in one of his Robot stories. Fascinating stuff, we love our technology and are also afraid of it.

Hmm... 'Microsoft Windows XP God Edition', not sure I can see it myself, we'd be downloading the meaning of life and the bloody thing would crash informing us we need to install Service Pack 2.
