BBC 25/4 The search is on for the mystery owner of a coffin which was abandoned in a road in Norwich. Residents living in the city's Old Palace Road discovered the coffin, complete with a red silk lining, earlier this week.
The brown wooden coffin was found propped up against a fence alongside bins waiting to be collected.
There was no clue as to where it came from and so far nobody has come forward to claim it.

This is a matter of grave concern. Hope this mystery is soon unearthed and put to rest.

This is a matter of grave concern. Hope this mystery is soon unearthed and put to rest. 100 points for the triple pun, but its quite obvious this is not a mystery, its simply sean manchesters summer residence.

she did
my dad worked in a timber yard and they cut out the coffin lids........
there was one coffin that was an inch too short on the shoulders and so he brought it home, varnished it and stuck legs on it and its still in her *living* room now

The coffin in question here, Ive just seen a picture of it on the BBC site, it looks to me to be a theatrical prop.
