Someone pointed out this footage was at exactly the same time as the Guernsey Sighting which makes it very interesting in my eyes.

I have to disagree with you there Bobdezon , there have been all sorts of claims of flares,military planes ,kids on 4x4's but they have all been dismissed as implausible suggestions and the flares were the first thing disproved as the phenomonon could not be repeated using flares.

I do not claim it was a flying saucer but up until now nobody has found a normal explanation of how it was caused that couldnt be debunked. That is why I say it is weird.

Can someone else freeze frame a few times on the French footage please. It appears to me that there is some blending in going on between the U.F.O and the sky, Like a smudge tool has been used. It doesn't seem to be there on every frame but happens on a number of occasions during the film. Can anyone else see it?

Unfortunately not. There are number of problems with the flares arguement and that is why I said it has been debunked. Firstly the flares only last for a few minutes,the lights were visible for considerably longer. Secondly the distance between the lights was measured using various footage filmed on the night and found to be a consistent distance throughout the whole incident. The lights stayed at the same height and distance from each other during the whole display. If the lightst were flares then this is not possible. Finally the military did admit the planes were flying and did drop flares but the time and location were shown to be different to the location of the light show.
Now I am desperately looking for the articles that proved this and the name of a brilliant tv documentary that i saw on it,but so far cannot locate them. So its just my word on it at the moment which I accept isnt good enough in a proper debate. So I shall keep looking but sorry I cannot accept the flares. I do not however accept it is aliens that are capable of interstellar flight as I really dont believe that aliens would be stupid enough to get caught or stupid enough to visit America.
