Gary Mannion's "oranges injected with arsenic"

Remember when Gary told the audience at St James' Church that the oranges we buy in the shops are injected with arsenic? I think I've discovered the facts behind this startling claim, and you won't be a bit surprised to learn that he totally misrepresented the incident on which it was based.

Apparently, in the early 1980s there was an outbreak of arsenic poisoning in Bangladesh. One possible cause was the practice, common amongst fruit vendors, of injecting their wares with water to make the fruit heavier and therefore more expensive. The water was drawn from shallow wells drilled into rock in which arsenic was a naturally occurring substance.

That's it. No mention of western shops, no deliberate injecting of arsenic. Gary's story was pure scare-mongering nonsense. And note that the arsenic was provided by God/Gaia/Mother Nature, not created in nasty old laboratories...

Well-done again, Julia. But don't forget Gary was told about the oranges, and the dog transfused with seawater, by a medical professional. Do you remember this, from "spiritlove"?

For comment like the oranges and the dog - These bits of information were passed onto me from someone who does have a medical knowledge. Infact both comments came from the same person. I fully trust this person and as you see from the evidence presented the orange claim is true. However if you listen to my talk you will find that I clearly state this is my opinion it is not backed up by any medical evidence so take what you want from it.

No names, of course. I wonder if he ever told "rainbows"the "real" names of the people he claimed to work with. Sadly, we'll probably never know. As you know, the whole thread was locked on the 20th of last month.

I heard a rumour that oranges contain natural orange juice. I am very sceptical as I thought oranges contained guava juice
