It looks similar to a niquitin patch used by people who are quitting smoking,.
Do these products really work? I am highly doubtful of it.
What I also noticed on the pink patch website is this little statement:
Now I don't know if this statistic is correct or not, but if it is, surely the lower risk is down to general lifestyle and diet differences in, not simply just because of Fucus Vesiculosus and seaweed eaten as the above statement seems to suggest?

The main component of the Pink Patch is Fucus Vesiculosus, or Bladder wrack - hard to pronounce, but it's a girl's best friend! A type of seaweed, it has been used as a holistic medicine for more than one hundred years. It reduces excess weight, increases your metabolism and energy - so you can forget about those pesky 2 ½g!
Eliminate your hunger: the patch also contains Yerba Mate, a powerful South American appetite suppressant. This means that your mind and body work together to tell the difference between foods you need and foods you want. By tending hunger sensations, you can go anywhere — and eat appropriately.
The Pink Patch is made with Lecithin. In addition to aiding your body's breakdown of fats and cholesterol, it helps distribute body weight — no more disproportion!
Best of all, because it's a skin patch, the Pink Patch delivers weight loss components directly to your system. This means that your body receives the essentials for weight loss quickly, safely, and effortlessly. Just apply a new patch every 24 hours.

Fucus Vesiculosus can lower the risk of breast and ovarian cancers and cholesterol. For example, women in the U.K. are 66% more likely to be diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancers than women in Japan - due to the amount of seaweed, including Fucus Vesiculosus, consumed in the Japanese diet.
