What else? Have you found being stuck in a deep valley a little on the wet side for you lately?

Shame, I hear moisture is vitally important for anyone with a small holding as apparently a crust forms in dry conditions
You know, I think your small holding deserves a thread of it's own. Space to grow

'Psychic Sarah' also has some pretty strange ideas about how and why world events happen.... So..... The twin towers attack happened because of movies? If you make films or play films, it happens in real life? WOW! Im sticking my DVD of "Biker Chicks in Leather Go Wild" on permanent repeat play mode...... well just in case....... She does have a bit of a vivid imagination to say the least...the sad thing is there is a large number of people that will believe all this nonsense no matter how ridiculous. She could claim that Winston Churchill and the gingerbread man were actually the same person and believers wouldn't bat an eyelid and would continue to show their allegiance to her.

'Energetics....and the laws of Karma' Hmmmm, lets see if we can use some more scientific terms out of context and mix it with mystic stuff to confuse the already befuddled shall we?

Similar technique to the one used by people supporting 'Intelligent Design' really. Just spew out a load of scientific sounding words and lace them with the odd buzzword here and there. This often leaves the casual observer thinking "wow, that geezer said a lot of things that I didn't understand at all, it must be true!"

I've already posted this on the main page but you can't have too much of a good thing. Here's Sarah in 2003, every bit as inept as she is today: "The Marian Finucane Show of Friday September 12th provided some lively debate and discussion when four skeptics were pitted against four astrologers and psychics. The skeptical side was represented by our own Paul O’Donoghue, David Moore of Astronomy Ireland, Brendan Purcell, a philosopher at UCD and Tony Scott from the UCD physics department. The psychics and astrologers were represented by Sarah Delamere Hurding a psychic researcher and spiritual healer, Sandra Ramdhanie a psychic psychologist and two astrologers, Fergus Gibson and Bill Shearin. This group argued quite a lot among themselves and seemed to differ substantially as to what exactly they each did and as to how their different systems might in fact work. An exchange which developed between Sarah Delamere Hurding and Paul O’Donoghue was of particular interest. Paul drew attention to three activities which Ms. Hurding engaged in. The first involved a prediction she made in the Irish Sunday People of February 10th 2002. She predicted that six numbers provided by her would come up within the following two months. She (and the newspaper) were highly impressed when three of these numbers came up the following day. Needless to say her six numbers never materialised in a lotto draw. Paul drew attention to a printout from the national lottery of September 10th when 41,419 players matched three numbers. It is unlikely that they were all psychic and such rates of success are predicted accurately and consistently on the basis of probability theory. If you want real accuracy of prediction look to areas such as probability and astronomy rather than psychic powers and astrology. A second issue which Paul addressed was Ms. Hurding’s claim that she could provide absent healing. This is said to occur when a healer sends healing energy over great distances. She also demanded a bank draft for €60 from people wishing to avail of the service. She claims impressive results with humans and animals, especially where doctors and vets have given up on the patient. When challenged she claimed to have treated only one person through the page on her website and that money received went to charity. This despite the claim on the same page that she has had impressive results with people and animals she has never met. We were happy to see that on the Sunday following the programme Ms. Hurding had removed her demand for a €60 payment. We would of course be happier if she would abandon her claim to heal from a distance. There is no scientific evidence for this and no known mechanism by which it could happen. The third issue addressed by Paul concerened an article published by Ms. Hurding in the Irish Times of September 10th 2001. She wrote in response to a patient query from a reader who was suffering from depression. She spoke of depression as an illness of the spirit which could be tackled from a different angle. She talked in terms of the transmutation of negative energy and said that one session of healing may shift a depression. Of greater concern was her statement that “on a practical level, the crystal haematite is very grounding and helps us source the correct plan of action for survival. If your depression is caused by grief and loss, the crystal amethyst is indispensable.” She went on to say that many flower essences address the causes of depression energetically, nothing beats a good cry and that her approach was eminently preferable to pill popping. This shows a total ignorance of the nature of depression and is potentially dangerous should people with serious depression attempt to treat themselves as advised by Ms. Hurding." www.irishskeptics.net/?p=23Could she possibly have given WORSE advice to a person suffering from depression?

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Thanks to her stange compulsion to post her trash on sceptical websites, whenever anyone Googles "Sarah Delamere Hurding" they'll soon be directed to forums where her lies have been exposed for the world to see. And she didn't predict that either! ;D

And she didn't predict that either! ;D In a strange way, I wonder if she deserves sympathy. Perhaps she has some variant of OCD, or some other kind of personality disorder. She claims to be a Psychic, then she says she's not a psychic. Apparently, her site is down for some reason..Who knows? A sad, deluded woman. I'm not sure she is a parasite - she SAYS she makes no money from being a psychic/nonpsychic. But she must have lost most of any credibility she had. Edit. Actually, I think she IS a parasite.

I think at some point most people have felt some sympathy for her - but then she ruins it again by twisting the truth. And despite getting a complete hiding, she tried to post new predictions and interpretations a few days ago. An absolutely stupid move, because she just got ripped apart again.
I'm afraid, I have limited sympathy (and time) for her, she is like a broken record.

In fact John Jacksons site is the ONLY other sceptical site in the UK that along with us actually makes a difference. I guess they are the Tommy Cannon to our Bobby Ball!

I have just read the thread on the uk sceptics site... what a nutta! The ramblings of the mad hoping to get just one thing right so she can claim publicity later.
In hindsite perhaps I agree with your petition to Downing street.. these people want publicy stoning. (Do you think we can get it on the small print on the petition?)
