I was just having a nose at Nina Knowlands website, as you do, to see what has been updated on there etc. - always good to stay in the loop so to speak. I stumbled across this and wondered if anyone had heard about this? www.point-of-light.moonfruit.com/#/psychicsurgeons/4527375836"UNITY OF UK PSYCHIC SURGEONS - Founder Member's Gary Mannion, Andy Porter and Nina Knowland met up this week at the Mysterious West Studios in Bristol to talk about the forming of a new Group/Organization for Psychic Surgeons. "Unity of UK Psychic Surgeons".
We discussed with Geoff Ward the reasons for forming our Group. Our group will be made up of genuine naturally gifted Psychic Surgeons.
We believe it is possibly the first time an Organization of this kind has been formed in the UK. Andy is also setting up our porthole website .
We, the panel will interview and then decide which members will be chosen to join. Our Launch went out first with an article in the Western Daily Press 22nd Feb 2008."Their website can be found here: ukpsychicsurgeons.org.ukInteresting, no?

Are you sure their website was not written by Ben Elton? It's hilarious! Well that's okay then... They accept that? Just like that? What about being objective? No, no need, they just 'accept it'.... Symbolically washing your hands? You mean 'pretend'? Bizarre... Reasonable for the healer, or reasonable for the client? As they can't provide true evidence or science to back it up. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D No, they should ask BEFORE a consultation. This is madness in it's most extreme form. THIS is the sort of thing I want to see made illegal. What laws? These 'Practitioners' are nobodies, they are not bound by a Hippocratic Oath, they are 'Joe Public'. I'd love to be able to find the section that mentions 'symbolic hand washing'...... They neglect to say that with conventional surgery, they actually DO something. Dammit these people piss me off.

Have you seen the photo on Nina Knowlands website of all three of them? Deserves the heading "who to avoid if you are ill" LOL
The bit that says:
So if I am only with them for 5 minutes do their charges go down considerably compared to say an hour session? Surely if they are charging for their time it would change for each client?

Is it wrong that I get incandescent with rage because of the misuse of punctuation more than I do about the pedalling of so much woo?

Yeah...and it's amazing how many dyslexic mediums/psychic/spiritual surgeons there are.

haha, though dyslexia isn't something that is funny, but what I find funny is as you mention Helly - the amount of woo that cannot spell or punctuate their sentences correctly.
Earlier today I read a paranormal teams website on which they stated they use trigonometry to detect the presence of spirit...

Surely this is going to be covered by the Consumers Protection Act, as they are still charging?
Are they setting up as a limited partnership, or as a company? Where is the money trail (Inland Revenue, VAT etc.)

...and who gives them the authority to judge others as suitable or not?

Where is the money trail (Inland Revenue, VAT etc.) As they are saying that psychic surgery is "an alternative" to conventional medicine I think it would very well fall under that. If you decide against normal procedure and have the 'alternative' and get nothing, Consumer Protection is on your side.

Oh lordy, would you look at that... multiple references to a 'journey', none of which involve anyone actually physically travelling anywhere. That's one of my all-time faves.

I couldn't find that bit, but I was confused by the following statement: I'm not drunk yet, so it makes no sense to me at all. Although I think he's done well to introduce a gimmick, a cross dressing Investigator. It's a nice twist.

Aw that's nice. He wants everyone else to be Ray Jorden, TV Paranormal Investigator in Warminster Wiltshire too. Sounds painful...

I'm sure they must be aware that "paraforensic" is a made up word? I'm also sure they're aware that the word 'forensic' is a term to describe scientific study to establish facts in relation to criminal and civil law and NOTHING to do with 'investigating hauntings'....

of course, they want people to believe that they know what they are doing and are a science based team when infact that bloke Ray just listens to every word the medium says and takes it as proof and fact.

Read my article article about the UUKPS here: stargoss.co.uk/garymannion/modules/news/article.php?storyid=33I've passed on all our Mannion and Knowland info to the Western Daily Press, pointing out to them that in the interest of fairness their readers should be made aware of ALL the facts about the Duplicitous Duo!
