"Suffer the little children" ? Yet another reason to be an athiest. Nature has made a mistake and hopefully will take it back before this poor baby suffers any more.

This pretty much destroys the argument by some 'Spiritual people' that we 'choose' our life on Earth as each incarnation is a learning process. WHAT are you likely to learn by 'wishing' to be born in such a way? Idiots.

I thought I'd nailed the "suffer the little children" in another thread, in that it DOES NOT MEAN THE CHILDREN SHOULD SUFFER.
It was said (alledgedly) to the disciples who were at the end of a long day and wanted to tell the brats to p*ss off and stop bothering the Master so the Disciples could get their head down.
SUFFER in this case means that the DISCIPLES should bear the burden, make the effort, take responsibility, put themselves out.
Suffer the little children means the adults should do what they have to do to allow the children to learn.
I may disagree with the message but this phrase DOES NOT mean the kids should suffer.

Sorry Meercat, which religion is it that you "choose" your next incarnation, as I think with Buddhism and Hinduism you get the re-incarnation you deserve to ATONE for sins in a past life (NO I Don't believe it, but I don't think choice is part of the deal). Although i have heard of the jokes about choosing to come back as a bra or a bathroom mirror. (which makes less sense as they are inanimate - hopefully)

(which makes less sense as they are inanimate - hopefully) I didn't say it was a 'Religion', it is a view held by many 'Mediums' that we choose our life on Earth, we choose 'disabilities' to teach us 'a lesson in life'. It's another one of their theories that falls flat on its face when you take only a brief look at it.

Ah I did not know that (about the "choice" bit) which is why I asked. I'm sorry but I don't think it's trollish to point out that a phrase is inappropriate in the context that it is used.
hey ho
