I have heard that there is something called the Fraudulent Medium Act (or something similar) in the United Kingdom. To my knowledge, we do not have anything at all like this in the US.
Right now on a US based message board there is a long discussion going on about that IMO faker and also somewhat dangerous supposed psychic, Sylvia Brown. The videos of her on YouTube and the grief and obviously untrue remarks she makes have caused so many grieving families additional pain. Yet you would not believe how many defend her!
I thought I heard that there is some legislation regarding this in the UK but know nothing about it. Any information on this law if it does exist would be most appreciated.

There is a law, but its uninforceable, and totally useless.
It is just a bit of paper writen about 50 years ago, that no one pays attention to.
In the last 20 years only 4 people have been prosecuted, and none have had anything more than a fine.
We seem to be catching up with the US these days when it comes to this nonsense
