I have a few concerns that I wish to run past you guys here who have more knowledge in dodgy woo than I do, hope you don't mind...
On a bike ride today with my brother we stopped off at the lovely hamlet of Avoncliffe to get a drink at the pub there.
Whilst there I happened to notice a little shop near to the pub selling crystals, incense and such stuff, I thought it would be interesting to see if they have a website and it turns out not only do they have a website for the shop - they also have a website for their, ahem, school - "Earthworks school of healing arts"
www.earthworkshealing.co.uk
After having a nose around their website I was v. v. v. shocked to see that their classes cost from between £35 to £350!
Crystal healing level 1 = £35.00
Crystal healing level 2 = £40.00
Crystal healing level 3 = £45.00
Crystal healing level 4 = £50.00
Full Spectrum healing = £350 for 1 term - inc. counselling skills
Anatomy & Physiology = £150 per term
Counselling skills = £120 per term
Am I wrong in thinking that to teach counselling you have to be registered or something?
Also on their site under the heading "treatment" they say:
They have no disclaimer on there or any mention of the fact that crystals/healing etc. cannot cure illnesses.
What do you guys think about this?

Earthworks offers a range of courses and workshops
in Crystal Healing and other forms of healing.
Classes are small, with a maximum of 12 students per class (fewer in some cases), and held in a lovely setting. Crystals and other necessary materials are available for the use of students.
We are located in an 18th Century building, and classes are held on the first floor, up an old spiral staircase. If you have difficulty in climbing stairs, please let us know. We are sometimes able to arrange an alternative venue.
Earthworks is accredited through the General Natural Practitioners' Guild, and is recognised by the Association for Therapeutic Healers.

Currently, all treatments are carried out by school principal, Janelle Scialla. Please ring for details and charges.
We plan to soon add a clinic which will ask only a small donation from those being treated, in order to give advanced students the opportunity to practise their work under supervision.
As both a practitioner and teacher, Janelle has gathered together aspects of all the disciplines she has experienced, including her work as a musician and singer for many years. She uses combined techniques of hands-on and etheric healing, breathing, meditation and visualisation, colour and light, sound, movement and Chi Kung, along with crystal healing and gem elixirs.
Janelle is a Core Group Member of the Association for Therpeutic Healers, and a registered General Natural Practitioner.
