If anyone is off to Glasto this year, be warned... Shakin' Stevens is playing the main stage on the Saturday! This is not a drill! Escape!

Old Shakey doing Glastonbury eh ? What more incentive do I need to go and stand in a feild up to my ankles in mud and liquid human waste while being accosted by beardy weirdies who will show me a great high for £150 a go . Do I or don't I , ooo the agony of choice .

We're giving festivals a miss this year. We plan to spend our holidays badgering the garden.

Badgering the garden? Is that a euphemism? Methinks we should be told!

Badgering the garden? Is that a euphemism? Methinks we should be told! ;D No! It's just that I can't call it 'gardening' cos I'm as rubbish at that as everything else. Monty Don would bat me with a shovel.

Hey I love old Shakey. I think music has gone down hill since. All together now "this ol' house...". Come on it could be worse. Timmy Mallet anyone?

Ever been to Glastonbury the town? Every second shop sells new age fripperies and the whole place smells of Nag Champa. Didn't walk up the Tor though. Far too much like hard work.

I go at least twice a year. It's a strange place an full of characters.
I love the tie dye and pentacle brigade but since being thrown out of my coven I suppose I am a bit anti.
I camp at The Barge Inn at Alton Barnes and look at the new crop circles while I am there.

I lived near Glastonbury in the early 80s before much of the woo oozed in there. Lovely place it was. The whole area has a special atmosphere.

Do you hold their broomsticks while they frolic naked in the woods?

I lived near Glastonbury in the early 80s before much of the woo oozed in there. Lovely place it was. The whole area has a special atmosphere. The atmosphere is still special but the trinket trade seems to have taken over. I have met some amazing people there and learned a lot. I know what you mean about the woo but, live and let live is my motto. Was it very different in the eighties. Money, money, ruddy money.
