We all must be quite sad individuals watching these silly shows, but im sure everybody must be thinking like me, watching these shows is laughable and I like picking it to pieces as well as watching people make a pratt of themselves.........
Infact since I joined this forum I want to watch them more now (god I must get a life) lol

we're not sad, we're just inquisitive. way i see it is how can you judge how good or bad something is unless you watch it firsthand. mind this is coming from someone who gave her social life to someone else and they've never brought it back. ;D ;D

Well, there's two types of people who'll watch the show - those who believe that everything they say / do is true and those who just want a laugh. I fall into the latter.

it serves a dual purpose while you're laughing you're getting educated too. i wonder if paramount comedy will try to buy the series when it's done. boy imagine that! ;D

Tonights show was, by far, the worst of the worst. With Toyax Wilcox, master sensitive and her band of similar-minded showbiz chums including Rula Lenska.
They all fancied themselves as mediums, with Toyax feeding them all so blatantly (taking them up to the attic and asking them if they sense a hanging) it was cringeworthy. When the litle gang were down in the cellar Rula collapsed into floods of tears after a psychometry session with the basement wall speaking of how she could sense naked children with blood on their faces. Of course, since there was an overall area of history from when the plague swept over Britain, and families locked their kids into the basements of their homes to 'stop them from catching it' or something.
Which brings me onto the dates. Now, I missed the first 10 minutes because I was doing something more interesting and important (cutting my toenails) but I'm sure I heard that the building was 'Georgian'. I was told that it had been added to which is good since the red brick style is typical Victorian and the decoration around the top of the windows outside was very 1920's.
But... they said it was a Georgian house. The earliest King George was King George I who ruled from 1660 to 1727... notice anything odd there? The 'Black Death' Bubonic Plague outbreak dates from 1348–1350 although there was a more localised Plague outbreak in London in 1665.
But, weirder still is that there was a reference to Priest Holes and Toyah said that she had a small cupboard or something in one of the walls in her house. For a house that was Georgian (i.e build after 1660) it's a little odd why they'd have a feature that dates from 1558.
But, I may be wrong on them. Can anyone confirm this if they watched the program?

The thing is, with Toyah's celeb pals there, surely they knew the history of the house beforehand, so Rula Lenska must of known about the history before? You can't tell me if my friend had such a beautuful house like Toyah's my friend would of filled me in about the history of the house. Women like to talk about these sort of things over a cup of coffee? and also I noticed that the camera was always on Ruth Madoc, Rula and Toyah, there was a couple of other neighbours there who were really only in the background Why? all the attention to make good telly was on the celebs who were obviously faking it! nice try..........

Exactly what I tought. When Ian went in the announcer said "Ian has no prior knowledge of Johnie's results or about any of the phenomena experienced" and then hey says nothing at all about the place. It's all Rula and Ruth, two close friends that, as you say, surely Toyah has talked to about the spooks.

Yeh, and this episode was the only one where Lawman didn't tell them to get out or became possessed. He must have took a back seat and let the others do his dirty work for him. What an anti-climax to the predictable and entertaining antics of Mr Lawman! I can't wait for him to get on the bad psychics list.

Apparently he is on the forum. Yeh I read that. It would be really good if he'd join in the debates to give his point of view. I've read a few websites about him where interviewers have found him approachable and pleasant. You never know?

But were those websites that spoke kindly of him? I'm not sure to be honest. While trying to find websites that exposed Ian Lawman I'd come across one or two that said a few lines about him but I didn't fully read them because it wasn't what I was looking for. It's like hens teeth, it doesn't matter what I google I can't seem to find any really informative exposure websites on him. You don't know any by chance do you?

Is your house haunted?
Has there ever been any unexplained activity that you are desperate to get to the bottom of?
Is there a paranormal presence that is driving you out of your own home? Or do you just want to find out what/who is behind the weird goings on that have been haunting you and your family?
If you have had a paranormal experience in your home that you would like to share please get in touch with us asap. Whether you live with your family, partner or by yourself we would love to hear your story as soon as possible.

Wow! The other week I got in from work and there was a mysterious pool of liquid on the floor. No doubt the ghost that put it there was also responsible for the shifty look on the dogs face... Maybe I'll give them a call.

Im seriously thinking about emailing them , every Saturday morning when i wake there appears to have been some kind of poltergeist activity in my home the night before that involves the entire contents of my handbag having been emptied across the living room floor , clothes strewn across my bathroom , empty takeaway food containers appear in the kitchen whos origin and content are unknown to me , and i always seem to have this un nerving queasy feeling in the pit of my stomach ?!?!? Theres got to be some kind of strange activity going on somewhere and even stranger i never seem to be able to remember anything about it all the next day ?

This series appears to be getting a second showing on Living 2 at the moment so i thought id take a look now that i have Sky and remembering the absolute drumming it took when it first aired i wanted to see if it could possibly be as bad as it seemed from the reviews on here.
It was ...infact the episode i just watched was amongst if not THE worst piece of TV ive seen in a long time. It was the one previously mentioned where a single mother and her 18yr old daughter lived in a flat that was part of a larger home turned into different dwellings with a tunnel out back that had been used as a detention centre for a nunnery amongst other things.
I was totally appalled at the situations Mr Lawman and co put these people in for the sake of a tv show. It was clear from the reactions and fear shown by the varied group who live in this place they were deeply affected by being put in that tunnel and being told the evil and energy there was immense whilst Mr Lawman went about actively then asking for negative presence to COME FORWARD....whilst a teenage girl was clearly very disturbed by the whole episode in that tunnel he continued to tell her she was the focus for this "entity" and then despite going on about how bloody evil and strong the "entity" was he asks the girl to "channel" it which obviously resulted in the girl being extremly scared and upset.
Infact in the round up section the mother and girl mention how if anything they feel WORSE now , and a male neighbour also present was so terrified after all the hyping and reinforcement in that tunnel by Mr Lawman and co that he was affected by it for days after and was to scared to go back into his flat for days. Even more startling was despite all the hoopla and goading and verbal from Mr Lawman he then admitted failure and left the poor buggers even more scared out their wits than they were before he went in and fed their fear with all his possessions and statements about the severity of the situation.
Most upsetting was the way the teenage girls sheer fear and upset was being used as a focal point of the show , how she was being put through needless and pointless upset that was clearly for the benefit of the show with no benefit to her whatsoever ....the kid needed real help ....therapy or council...not reinforcement that what was causing her problems was some evil entity hell bent on possesing her .
I couldnt believe the way Mr Lawman seemed oblivious to the problems this kid had continuing instead to feed her fear for a tv show that was filled with nothing more than constant scaremongering and seemed to be purely focussed on inducing as much fear in the people it was supposed to be aiding as possible.
There is so many contradictions in the field of mediumship ...on one hand some go on about never allowing or encouraging negative "entities" to get a hold far less asking a teenager to actively do so then the other hand in this case Mr Lawman seems to ignore this particular school of medium thought and goes out of his way to encourage the negative to come forward.
Of course theres nothing there to come forward and its all just a belief system and made up rules but it never fails to amaze me how vastly different mediums rules of thumb seem to be , all those theories they have about this and that , yet all so very different and contradictory at times. You might expect some variation of course but there usually is some common theme or rules of thumb they might form their ideas around ....but even the base of the beliefs seem to vary wildly from one medium to the next.
