I think stem cell research is a "holy grail" of medicine. Potentially offering cures for almost all ills. I have no problem with this at all, despite alarmist 12th century religious lunacy and dogmas thrown in. Also I would quite like my own humanzee to do my dishes. I can pay em' peanuts.

I agree 99.9% with bobdezon. I'd have an octoraffe ..... 8 legs/arms to do several house chores and the long neck would come in handy when checking roof slates for damage.

I would no more object to this than any other form of medicine we already have - i have no time for all that 'playing god' BS type arguement - anyone going to turn down a cure or treatment for some horrible illness if they get one? I dont think so - bring it on, i look forward to seeing what all the clever clogs scientists can come up with.

Some people care more about the rights of a handful of cells which may or may not turn into a human being, than the human rights of people born and suffering.
The arguments of the religious and Conservative party against the bill were just fallacious in every way possible. And Ann Widdecombe is just an evil old witch.
