the new paranormal channel seems to be stuck in a time warp but last night i watched the new "whines and spirits". apparently mr beattie would be taking a celebrity with him (misleading). i should have know his buddy Stuart. just wanted to let you know they're now describing themselves as paranormal experts as stated on the info button on sky and in the show. i thought you had to have training to achieve this title. can someone please enlighten me?

They're obviously going along the lines that since they've been doing Most Haunted for the last 7 or so years it automatically makes them professional in what they do. In the time I've watched the show I've not once seen Karl or Stuart pick up anything more than a camcorder before going around calling out to these 'ghosts'. The methods they use are so disgraceful it's beyond me - they go around hurling obscenities to whoever is supposed to be haunting a place and insulting them and their family trying to 'provoke a response'.
It was recorded once, when they were up in the tower during the Transylvania Live episode.

yes and i've seen it on more than one occasion. i remember karl calling a spirit a "toothless old twat", respect they can't even spell it. whether david wells is genuine or not they taunted the life out of him, acting like complete idiots with yvette fieldings agreement. they're terrified when doing vigils on their own but on the last halloween live both of them (so they said!) had tried to conjure up dark spirits. contradicting themselves all the time.

Karl's the only fully trained Samurai outside of Japan - more details here: www.stockportexpress.co.uk/news/s/311/311429_meet_the_real_last_samurai.htmlYou'd think though that someone trained that meticulously in martial arts can be so scared by a light tapping in the dark. Hell, he'll hack you to death with a sword if you look at him funny, but knock on a pipe behind him in the dark and he'll wet himself.

very intriguing i'm a bit gobsmacked to be honest. "it's a code of honour, a way of living your life", as mr beattie says. so all those years of training and control float out of the window when he's lying and shouting insults at "spirits", etc. where's his "code of honour" then i wonder? now it doubly makes no sense to me when he screams and runs....................pretty speechless!

The person I distrust most on the MH team is Stuart. It seems that every time something happens its to him. He gets 'attacked' by a spirit, he gets 'possessed', pebbles always get thrown when he's around. He's been videoed picking up a glass during Ouija and throwing it against the wall then claiming ignorance when it transpired he was actually caught on tape doing it...

it's the last entertainment channel (that says it all). it should have in brackets TIME WARP because they've repeated the same episode of strange but true and arthur c clarke, etc, over and over again. i've never known any channel do that before. i believe the only reason why stuart is on MH, etc, is because he is yvette fielding's cousin. my brother used to get a paranormal magazine every month. for a while, along with the mag came a free dvd. on one both mr torevell and beattie had a go at derek acorah (without ever mentioning his name). on one of the following dvds stuart talked about what he did privately. he came across as full of himself and did what he wanted to do, simple as. he's basically not a pleasant fellow! anyone remember "strangle cath, strangle cath" in italy? as soon as you put those two together any glimpse of credibility goes bye bye. don't forget though now he's a "paranormal expert". not bad for an ex cameraman rigger. it's like someone saying i'm a doctor but i didn't train to be one.

How can they be experts in a field of research that has hardly any facts?

that's where the scientific side comes in to play. i've been interested in the supernatural and paranormal for years and i learn something new all the time. what's so annoying is they still HAVEN'T proved anything tangible for anyone. because of how bad they've got anything that might have been possible phenomena gets dismissed because you can't believe anything they say or do. fame and glory's got the best of them again.

It's a field that's unfortunately there for the taking. Because there's nothing you can systematically prove or disprove anybody can come along and claim to be an expert in the field. They can say anything they like and since there's nothing to refute their claims there's no tangible arguement.
I'm an expert in the little moon creatures that live on Io, one of Jupiter's moons. You can't prove what I come out with is false so, obviously, I'm right...

"know it alls"are common place, everyone knows one and they're a pain in the butt. there should be a warning in their contracts, CAUTION, you may become obnoxious, egotistical and find you will ignore good scientific ideas when given. if so seek constructive advice as soon as possible. i've tried e-mailing your little moon creatures, will let you have a copy of their response. ;D

I wouldnt say that they are experts at all, and as for Stuart and Karl I wouldnt trust them as far as I could throw them. They're not experts and no you can't trust them. Yvette Fielding, while promoting their paranormal channel, said that Karl would have a guest celebrity with him every week. Of course this is Stuart, talk about misleading. All these two do is make MH more of a laughing stock so I assume we'll see lots more of that on Whines and Spirits. Embarassing!

Wow, so his claimis bogus? Is there any websites I could look about his bogus claim? The article I looked at, about him being a samurai, seemed pretty convincing. Maybe his alter ego is the samurai. ;D

Well the lying hound! When you make a claim like that be prepared for the criticism. It makes sense now how you never hear him talk fully about his Samurai days. It's not hard to see now why he runs at the slightest tap or noise. The only "code of honour" he's got is feeding an ever growing ego. ;D
