I agree that you should expose all the fake mediums/psychics that have appeared on tv etc, and you have proove that they are fakes, but saying that you cant tar every one with the same brush, its like everything in life you get some good people and you get some bad who try to rip people off no matter what their job is.

Hi Kendra
I'm a sceptic but I hope you won't mind if I put in my 2p's worth.
Nah go ahead
I've been on online fora for about 9 years and have never deleted a post that I've put up. Why? Because I have a right to my opinion, no matter what. And so do you!! To my mind, to delete my post is almost like saying I'm not confident in my views or a don't have a right to air them.
Butits not about not being confident in your views. Myviews havent changed on my belief and nor will they. Butyou end up saying the same damn thing over and over, and getthe same old responses, over and over..
So, no matter who says what to you, you have the RIGHT to hold your views. I don't agree with them but I'll defend to the death your right to hold them!
Ive never deleted a post I have put up...Ive deleted my account on here because I just get to the point whereI think...nah cant be asked..

Should someone be allowed on here to give their opinion of how rape and murder is ok?
No, of course not! As I stated elsewhere on here just a day or so ago: "Having said all that, I fully support your right (and almost everyone else's) to believe what they wish." Almost being the operative word in that statement.
I don't condone anyone breaking the laws of the land or harming other people, both of which are inherent in the act of rape and murder. So it goes without saying that I would strongly object to any person airing views like that on this or any other forum.

Yes, and so does everyone who strongly holds an opinion. I'm sure you and just about everyone on here is guilty of repeating themselves. Obviously if you visit a forum regularly and for some time, you're going to end up repeating yourself ad infinitum on that particular subject.
Sorry, I'm not sure I understand you; "can't be asked ..." what? Can't be asked about your views?

Hi fairymarymermaid. I rarely get upset about what people say either, but not because I don't have an opinion. I think the only thing that got me riled was on an atheist forum I used to run, where a christian accused atheists of being worse than Hitler. That pis*ed me off a bit! ;D
He that cannot reason is a fool; He that will not is a bigot; He that dare not is a slave.
This forum is great because it does allow us to put all our views across. Yes Jon is adamant about his thoughts & views on mediumship and if he wasn't then this great forum wouldn't have survived til this day! I do think Jon is hoping to disprove his belief that all mediums are fake, but until all his questions are answered then fair enough he has no personal proof & I can only suppose he will continue until he either feels there is no point continuing or maybe finds that proof. I don't think people should take personal offence at Jon's comments ... he does fire more of them at Kendra & Lowrider lol but I think that's because he knows they can retaliate in magnificent form Newer mediums to this site or believers in mediumship, should ( in my opinion ) not take it as a personal insult, but state their beliefs and why they believe in it, don't let Jon "upset" you, because then it looks as though (perhaps) your belief wasn't strong enough to argue or debate for.
hope this post hasn't offended anyone cos I'm really a nice person ok maybe not as cute as that but nice anyway lol

Fake mediumship is against the law, which is why promotion of mediumship is not allowed on this forum.
One medium recently was removed from this site for continually breaking that rule

My views wont change, nor will my answers...repeating them over and over again just gets tedious.... Simple as that...also for believrs and mediums this place just gets way to abusive and agressive at times and you need time out just to sit back and asy ahhh fuck em! Otherwise you just end up arguing all the time,as most debates or discussions end up as arguments at some point.. yes I know everyone say ......oh no they dont.. But..they do!

IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE KENDRA
either you dont want to say Arse, or you are talking nonsense? Try using a different phrase that is more understood, as i always thought it meant arsed

It did occur to me that Kendra meant 'arsed' but had typed 'asked' by mistake, which is why I asked her for clarification. I didn't want to just assume what she may have meant.

If fake mediumship is against the law (and I have no reason to doubt that you are correct in this), why are there so many still plying their trade around the country (and all over the world for that matter). Many mediums have been shown to be frauds, (probably most of them on this very site!), so why haven't they been charged?
Do you know what that actual law states? I can only assume that there must be many loopholes in it because I've never heard of any medium having to serve a stretch at Her Majesty's pleasure because of it.
I've just had an amusing stream of conciousness. Famous fake mediums sweeping the streets as part of their community service order! ;D ;D

An Act to repeal the Witchcraft Act 1735, and to make, in substitution for certain provisions of section four of the Vagrancy Act 1824, express provision for the punishment of persons who fraudulently purport to act as spiritualistic mediums or to exercise powers of telepathy, clairvoyance or other similar powers (22 June 1951).
Be it enacted by the King's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
[1] Punishment of fraudulent mediums, etc.
(1) Subject to the provisions of this section, any person who-
(a) with intent to deceive purports to act as spiritualistic medium or to exercise any powers of telepathy, clairvoyance or other similar powers, or (b) in purporting to act as a spiritualistic medium or to exercise such powers as aforesaid, uses any fraudulent device, shall be guilty of an offence.
(2) A person shall not be convicted of an offence under the foregoing subsection unless it is provided that he acted for reward; and for the purposes of this section a person shall be deemed to act for reward if any money is paid, or other valuable thing given in respect of what he does, whether to him or any other person.
(3) A person guilty of an offence under this section shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding fifty pounds or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding four months or to both such fine and such imprisonment, or on conviction on indictment for a term not exceeding five hundred pounds or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both such fine and such imprisonment.
(4) No proceedings for an offence under this section shall be brought in England and Wales except by or with the consent of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
(5) Nothing in subsection (1) of this section shall apply to anything done solely for the purpose of entertainment.
[2] The following enactments are hereby repealed, that is to say (a) the Witchcraft Act 1735, so far as still in force and (b) section four of the Vagrancy Act 1824, so far as it extends to persons purporting to act as spiritualistic mediums or to exercise any powers of telepathy, clairvoyance or other similar powers, or to persons who in purporting so to act or to exercise such powers, use fraudulent devices.
[3]. (1) This Act may be cited as the Fraudulent Mediums Act 1951 (2) This Act shall not extend to Northern Ireland
If a fraudulent medium were to be charged with breaking any law it would probably be under a trades description act. The difficulty in prosecuting might be created by a 'medium' claiming their performance was merely that, an act.
I once went to a medium and she told me a few things, whilst not vague, were certainly not so specific so as to leave me reeling in amazement at her abilities.
I've always been tempted to get a haircut from Gordon Smith just to see if he can fortell my future while giving me a short back and sides.
Then there is always the Theft Act "Obtaining A Pecuniary Advantage By Deception"
And its a shame that Mediums who use the "(5) Nothing in subsection (1) of this section shall apply to anything done solely for the purpose of entertainment." (Colin Fry for one) dont have the convictions of their beliefs to say "No, this is not entertainment, its real"

Its very easy to find one actually. Any person acting as a medium but not in a spiritualist concept can be done..not that theywould be,but according to this law they can be.
Its there to cover spiritualist mediums as they are within a religious role. Any Psychic or non spiritualist medium in affect can be done by this law. and the SNU dont do bog all to back this law.....
