Char Margolis did a six-episode program called "Psychic at Large" on the Sci-Fi Channel last year, which aired right after their surprise hit "Ghost Hunters" (which I love, BTW).
Char's program was about her wandering around L.A., Hollywood, and Las Vegas and telling perfect strangers things about their lives and their deceased loved ones. I have written about some of her shows in a thread called "Psychic at Large" in the Paranormal & Supernatural Television & Movies part of this forum.
While researching my reviews, I found some very enlightening transcripts and articles on Char over at the James Randi Education site. She is a classic cold reader, and you can see it in the shows if you watch for it.
I have been told that fans of "Ghost Hunters" protested to Sci-Fi Channel about Char's silly show following their favorite, and this year "Psychic at Large" was replaced by "Sci-Fi Investigates....", a much more entertaining show (though I think the older man needs a make-over!).
There's a thread started in the "Mediums & Psychics" part of this forum about Lisa Williams, who is going to have her own show on an American cable channel. I haven't seen her yet, so will not comment further. But if you do watch her show, see if she asks a bunch of questions. One of the newspaper articles quoted in the thread I mentioned says she doesn't do the fishing routine, but who knows, really?
