Has anyone else caught this show? I watched Saturday's episode and, by God, what utter rubbish!
Is it just me or is Karl attempting a Richard Felix impression when he's presenting?

It's on the Paranormal Channel. I guess because LivingTV own the rights to Most Haunted they couldn't get that onto their channel and so they created an even rubbishier clone. Basically it's Karl and Stuart ("Expert paranormal investigators") visiting a couple of pubs where the workers and owners tell a few stories about their place, then K+S spend the night in one of them.
Karl is presenting, attempting what I think is a very poor impression of Richard Felix , and Stu only appears during the 'investigations'. Basically these 'expert' investigators walk somewhere, hear things that the camera doesn't (even tho Stu said that the mics on their cameras are very sensitive), and then they go and lock themselves in because of a dodgy lock.
None of the 'evidence' they catch is followed up like TAPS. They said a CCTV camera was pointed at a doorway that had 'inexplicably locked itself' but that footage was never shown. There's a LOT of swearing, misattribution and theatrics all encased in an amateurish shell. It's like your standard student program for their A-level or something.

Unfortunately this is the kind of cheap tack we'll see on the paranormal channel. This is nothing, wait while later in the year when the "Three Screaming Banshees" is aired. I'll let you guess who the three females are?

That's not all that's rubbish on the channel. There's a Paranormal Noise / Visual experience for people to listen to as they go to sleep. Only problem is that it was aired at 11am.
And then there's Paul Ross attempting to tell a few ghost stories. Sorry, but his voice is in no way for being able to tell a ghost story.

I can't find the website where Yvette Fielding promoted the paranormal channel. But I know she classed Paul Ross's black book as being quite spooky and that it was aired later on at night. Not according to the channel itself. He's aired throughout the day. Maybe they think we're in Australia. Whatever! They know no other channel would buy these self obsessed cardboard programmes and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see why.

I watched Whines and Spirits again last night!
Is it me or am I becoming more sceptical but now what im doing is watching the people they interview more closely and the only conclusion I can make is the landlords and staff to me in my opinion are "believers" the same with "Living with the dead" they all seem to want to believe that there is something going on in the premises, im not saying that there isn't anything going on that is something we will never know, but surely having Karl and Stu there is a joke really! lol
If I owned a pub or I lived in a house that was "haunted" I know for sure I would not call Karl and Stuart in or for that matter "living with he dead" team in, If I felt threatened in my own home I would like to think I could call someone professional. As put in one of my threads, do these people get paid to have a camera crew in?

It's not just that it also generates a lot of publicity which they also get paid for. It's win win for them.

I watched a You Tube video the other day showing Yvette Fielding mooning, yep cheeks to the window while being interviewed. It seems to me they can do what they want. Their bank balance is happy even though they'll probablly go down as one of the best comedy acts this century. ;D

Yes I saw Yvette showing her arse too!
Don't get me wrong we all do silly things, but I gather from her she is an attention seeker.

I think she's always liked her own way and bugger anyone else. Seeing her butt cheeks pressed against a pane of glass doesn't help. Window cleaner anyone? ;D

When are people going to learn? There is no point in complaining about these people when you are watching their shows.Stop watching and they will slowly disappear into oblivion.

If only the woo people watch the program then nobody gets anywhere. If a sceptic can watch it and systematically show where things have been misattributed and / or faked then it gives more woo the information they need not to watch it again.

I think thats a cop out really TBH. I have nothing against a paranormal channel and all that but the fact these people are behind much of it, makes me deliberately press the off button. The woo people can watch what they want and believe what they want. I have no interest in changing their perspective on life (or death)
I have been guilty in the past of watching Most haunted and even enjoyed the first series thinking it was really credible and later I just watched for the entertaining Derek. I just think that YF and her cronies are milking it for all its worth and sceptics or otherwise are doing this no good by joining in with the charade.

Watched the show tonight, something strange going on tonight!
Stuart put a locked off camera in the bathroom showing the sink. What was strange was all of a sudden the tap started flowing water, no sign of the taps spindle moving whatsoever, so my conclusion to this is that maybe someone is being a bit "handy" with a screwdriver and the ball-afix-valve opening and closing it from a different location. If a so called spirit had turned the tap on why didn't we see the tap spindle move, surely if a spirit could turn a tap on the way it happened in tonights programme that would be impossible or should I say amazing!
We did not see any investigation on this subject after they had done the vigil checking the plumbing was faulty or not faulty, this show is not good enough to call themselves paranormal investigators. Also again with the tv turning on and off, ok they had the remote with them (not all the time) but again there was no investigation even speaking with the landlord about faulty electrics, obviously the landlord was in on it!
This show has very poor effort into investigating the paranormal and why is it that everywhere they go something always happens it does not ring true to me!

Tonight's episode was pretty interesting. Well, the latter half. The first 20+ minutes was just stories and stuff.
Cue start of the 'investigation' and Karl and Stu get lost on their way to the place. Finally find it and get in the carpark. Then they flip a £10 note to see who goes in first. Karl wins (or loses, depending on your viewpoint) and leaves Stu in the carpark.
Karl was first into the haunted room and not much happened. Well, the television flipped on and off a couple of times to such an extent I wondered if someone had played with the timer to make it flip on and off with such regularity.
Then Karl came back out 3 hours later Karl re-emerges and Stu says he's been sat out in the cold because he didn't have the keys to the car. Cue camera panning to where Karl had left them for Stu - the bumper of his car - and they're still there. So how exactly can these people be 'expert paranormal investigators' when Stu couldn't even see a set of bulky, shiny keys right next to him?
But now it's Stu's turn in the haunted room. And again there's some TV on-offing. Then, most interestingly, the tap in the bathroom seems to turn itself on and start running. It did this twice. Then the thermal imaging camera was pushed over.
When Karl and Stu went up to the room together (oo er) they placed a lock-off cam on the set of taps that had turned on then went into the bedroom (oo er). Soon after the tap started running again. Interestingly though the tap for the water didn't turn when it started up, so what could have done that is something I couldn't answer.
To me it seemed a little.... staged.

More than once I thought that what was going on was staged - at least with the TV (programmed with the sleep timer) and the tap (water flow but no turning of tap itself). The camera's falling over was a little more interesting.

My partner knows abit about plumbing and I told him about what happened tonight with the tap. He said that would be impossible unless it was tempered with elsewhere.........................
