I was given a copy of Derek Acorah's book," Amazing psychic stories". One of the chapters is headed Soul growth and I quote part of that chapter. " i30.Report this post to Admin please.com/albums/c301/koolg33/LastScan.jpg[/IMG] So young babies born with the most terrible of illnesses and the trauma that is suffered by them and their parents is OK because they have chosen to be like this. tell that, Mr Acorah to someone who loses a child through said illnesses see if that gives them comfort. IMOA this was an evil thing to write as he nor anyone else knows what awaits us on "the other side" if anything.

It's not a very nice thing to read, is it? I must admit that's shaken me a bit...

I would never believe that quote. What you don't believe he wrote it or its such a horrible thing to say you couldn't believe anyone would say it, let alone put it in writing

The concept comes right out of Hinduism. It is based on the concepts of Karma, reincarnation, and fate. There is nothing new about what he is saying.

I've read similar before about it being based on the concepts of Karma, but never read in it being a choice to come back to suffer.
It is a dreadful thought. Its the concept I can't believe. Being a quote I do believe that he wrote it.

That we come back in a many different life times , each time we have a different experiences, and it takes all these experiences together to complete our full life journey

Yes I have heard of it before, but the way Acorah puts it across in his book, is that these spirits come back to suffer in another body so they can get back to the spirit world Quicker and climb the social ladder as it were, what a load of Bollox

I agree. That's why I choose not to believe it.
I'm sure if someone vulnerable does read that chapter they will be devastated.

speaking as someone who had a young relative who did die in horrific circumstances, if I had read this Acorah would be dead by now.

If you are a believer, there is nothing shocking in his statement, it is common sense from a spiritual perspective.

Well count me out as a believer then, because if you are trying to tell me that someone I knew and cared about made a constant decision to go through what he did (which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy) just to get themselves up a spiritual ladder I will seriously kick the living f*** out of them.
