I see that old fraud Helen Duncan is in teh Mirror today on page 25.
Glad to see that they havent pandered to the nonsense.
Apparently it is 50 years sinceher death today, and her followers and family are trying to get her conviction as a fraud overturned.
lets hope they fail miserably.
They have also put one of her most famous pictures on there, so blatantly a fraud, yet really dumb stupid idiots still believe she was real, oh dear

From what I have read on her she was not as bad as a lot of modern day mediums. Or those in fact tied in the goings on of, most haunted
Maybe they should use the witchcraft act of 1735 on Yvette, Karl, Derek and the whole mob, because they are truly fraudulent

At least Helen Duncan was rightfully locked up for being a fraud.
I loved the fact that she ran out when Price wanted to x-ray her stomach!!

Helen was x-rayed nothing was found!!! and at the seance in question helen didnt see the sailor his mother saw the sailor fully materialised and said youre not dead and he said yes i am and gave her all the details that later proved correct.... also helen offered to give a demonstration in court it was refused i wonder why?

She was charged and convicted under section four of the 1735 Witchcraft Act, which was enough to put her in London's Holloway Prison for nine months. As expected during times of stress – particularly wartime – the public was turning to the supernatural for information, and so, apparently, were authorities who should have known better.  During one of her séances, Helen had been inspired to make the announcement that the British government had been covering up a disaster in the Mediterranean, a suspicion already reflected in a general buzz that information had been suppressed in the matter. On November 25, 1941, the HMS Barham, a 29,000-ton battleship, was attacking Italian convoys when it was hit by three German torpedoes, and went down within minutes with the loss of 861 lives. The official government statement had attempted to cover up the tragedy, for security and morale purposes, and Helen mumbled – in trance, of course – that their official statements were untrue. That was her undoing, but for a much more important reason, if you have any belief in woo-woo abilities – which the security agencies apparently had. Those agencies were afraid, you see, that Helen would reveal top-secret plans for the coming D-Day landings! They took advantage of the then still-standing 200-year-old law – since taken off the books – to silence her. Now, fifty years after her death, campaigners are trying to clear her name. The woo-woo experts are of course extolling Ms. Duncan’s wondrous powers, to convince Home Secretary John Reid that the verdict should be overturned. The evidence against Duncan was – and is – overwhelmingly negative, as readers can see from the accompanying photo. But the editor of “Psychic World,” a source of spiritual consolation to Britain’s naïve, describes Helen Duncan as “one of the world's top mediums, a woman who gave hope and comfort to many.” Well, she had been examined by a rather shaky authority, Harry Price, in 1931. Peeking into her curtained cabinet during a “trance,” he had discovered her covered with cheese-cloth, not with the traditional ectoplasm – which has always seemed so very cheese-cloth-like… He found that some of it was trailing on the floor, one end was poked up her nose, and a piece was hanging from her mouth. Following this observation, Price said: I must say that I was deeply impressed – with the brazen effrontery that prompted the Duncans to come to my lab, with the amazing credulity of the spiritualists who had sat with the Duncans, and with the fact that they had advertised her “phenomena” as genuine. Despite this definitive exposé, Helen continued to be accepted by the faithful – to this day – and now her rehabilitation is being sought. In my opinion, once a fake, always a fake…

That photo was taken during the developing stages and was is no way a reflection on the materialisations that made her seances famous.... also i can only say read Maurice Barbanels book on actual events in the trial for what really happened at that seance

What im honestly saying is in the early days of her development the etheric team she was working with were working on the beginnings of materialisation mediumship which is the most evidential form and also rarest form of mediumship... i know of not 1 single materialisation medium today but i know of ones who claim it but how can you claim full materialisation when its held in the dark? helens seances were held in red light so were other great full materialisation mediums... sitters saw their dead relatives in full physical form not like these photos which are just manipulations of ectoplasm in the early stage of development... so that is my opinion im not saying they are etheric people i am saying that they are early attempts made by the etheric people moulding the ectoplasm... i dont know who kendra is but wether she taught Helen Duncans grand daughter or not dosent mean these were not early attempts at manipulating ectoplasm also are you trying to say her grand daughter says she was a fake? it may be news to her she was on scottish t.v. the other day saying helen was genuine

Helen made many manefestations, yet they all looked obviously fraudulent, why do you see magic when there is none?

Things are not always straight forward ... the first computer evermade does not look like a modern p.c the first plane ever made dosent look like a modern jet... so to when the etheric team were working on these it was practice in extracting and molding ectoplasm.... i would rather go on the opinion of the countless testimonies to her mediumship you can say people can be fooled by cold reading but when a dead friend or relative is standing right in front of you, you know if it is or isnt them!

I am sorry to say but I am finding it hard to take anything you say seriously, when you believe soething that is so unbelievably obviously fake.
Hell even the normal woos like LR, Kendra etc even stay from this.
Trust me she was a 100% fake, a fraud, you must be the most closeminded person in teh history of this forum if you think that is a real spirit.
