Here we go again! ;D
TV's TOP ghostbusters are exorcising the spirits of long dead witches when they visit Denbighshire's own 'Village of the Damned' next week.
Living TV programme Most Haunted is sending a team of mediums and paranormal experts to the decaying Victorian North Wales Hospital on Saturday, October 25 for a first ever week-long television special.
Former Blue Peter presenter Yvette Fielding hosts the show and will be at the hospital for seven nights of live coverage to be shown on the digital channel from 8pm.
The show has branded Denbigh 'The Village of the Damned' as the team will spend a week lurking around ancient buildings and edifices to try and uncover 'the truth about this ghost-riddled asylum'.
This will be the first time Most Haunted Live have visited the 19th century building which is believed to stand on ground cursed by witches who were tried and executed there.
Yvette will be joined by mediums, Brian Shepherd and Billy Roberts, and parapsychologist Dr Ciaran O'Keeffe, who will take part in a gripping first night of action as they conduct a 'time slip' experiment.
This will involve two people being strapped into straitjacket in separate padded cells while Yvette holds a seance to entice the spirits of patients once housed there to uncover what exactly happened to them.
Dr O'Keeffe uses a range of paranormal equipment and experiments to determine whether the team's experiences could be paranormal or attributable to other factors.
The rest of the week will be spent hunting for witches through the deserted hospital wards, attics and cellars then onto the chapel which sits away from the main building.
It is believed the witches were executed in this part and so the team will end their week with a exorcism, burning the church to the ground to rid the area of spirits and prepare it for habitation.
A spokesman for the show said: "Our visit to Denbigh should be something very special as Most Haunted Live returns for the most amazing supernatural spookfest so far."
