I find it easier to accept that Ciaran is an actor playing a part on a spoof TV show as opposed to a man who has turned his back on science, destroyed all of his credibility, just to make a cheap buck on a fake tv show. Hmm... how has he turned his back on science? I'm sure, when he isn't running around on MH, his academic work still goes on. For me, that is the crux. From the glitz and glam of celebritydom, he is actively researching and, more importantly, being constantly reviewed by academic peers. That is what is genuine and that is what is matters to me. I couldn't care if he is a ratings flop as long as he stays true to the principles of research where it matters. I'm also sure there is a ceiling as to what he will earn in his academic capacity and so, if he wants to boost his income with a spoof show, or online course, or being a flying monkey in a circus, who cares? Providing he acts within the law, I have no issue with how a man earning a crust. It is his business. To destroy his credibility, you would have to think MH is a genuine investigation in the first place AND place Ciaran as a bastian of scepticism. Your logic has holes in this one. If you're wanting to question his moral compass, I personally think you're on shaky ground.

I dont want to question his moral anythings. I have no problem with Ciaran appearing on MH as it is a spoof show, He can earn a living as an actor, that doesnt bother me at all.
I do have issues with his online course, not for his motivations which are sounds, but for what he will create as a by product of that course.
I get a horrible feeling we will see a new range of idiots with "Ciaran O'Keeffe seal of approval" or "Acredited by Ciaran O'Keeffe" or something similar

And, even in the worst case scenario as you've described... does it matter?
