One of me moments on my forum ages ago...thought would give something for you guys to rip apart!  One of me moments... How many times do we say heaven is not above,below etc it is all around us, we simply cannot see it.... Take an ice cube and put it on a table in a totally sealed room....frozen it is fully visible As time goes by,it melts, it has now changed its physical form...Go on even further, add heat to the room it dissipates into the enviroment...... It doesn't mean it has never existed, nor does it mean it still doesn't. Because the basics the H20, was indeed frozen, it was indeed an ice cube, it was indeed there.. Now scientists would even have to agree that the ice cube is in a varying form still around us..its just invisible.... Now, put that into a broader sense...see the spirit as an ice cube? Now reverse the process, as in chill the room down...you will indeed see water droplets etc made by this melted ice cube, again it has become visible in another form....just because we haven't been able to chill down the spirit world yet,doesn't mean its not there..... |

Is this a metaphor for the body, soul, or sole? I'd hate to think the sore skin peeling off my feet is going to reunite with me at a later date in heaven...  If it is the soul, well, we are back to the old dualistic riddle of how the soul interacts with the body. I still don't know... |

Oh GM Indeed....I understand what you are saying here,and have various theories etc myself on this which I will copy and paste form my forum...we have discussed these matters on there also.. None the bloody wiser for it,but we have come up with some interesting theories.. But this was very much about how the spirit world/heaven etc could exist around us and we would not see it. It is only through social suggestion as such that we as a society/culture etc see heaven and the spirit world as above us ... I and many that I know of disagree with this. And from a mediums prospective feel it is far more likely to exist around us in some way.  Hence my ice cube,melting,evaporating and then being frozen kinda thang...But hey..could work on just one soul basis also I suppose..  |

Well If the believers can hijack quantum physics in their rather bad analogies to prove or explain the rubbish they believe, why not use evaporation too? |

If that is what people want to believe in, then who am I to sway them, we all have the right to believe in what ever we so wish and no one on this earth should even try and take that right away from them and nor should they be ridiculed for it.!! |

I'm not disagreeing with you but I wonder how we are to explain an ethereal concept, without some sort of physical analogy,after all, arent are thought processes based on what our senses tell us about the physical world around us? |

Comparing the spirit world to an ice cube is no more valid than comparing it to a Japanese Fence Lizard or a box of Mr. Kipling's Almond slices.
None of them have any meaning.

Shall we just bleet like sheep and not theorise and try and understand our own belief and faith better?Should we just sit back and accept it? You think I added this on here for you to find another way to attempt ridicule?... Or do you think I possibly added this on here as interested in others opionions,analogy or not...unlike some on here I am interested in others beliefs and view points,even if they are different from my own! I may not be a quantum scientist sweetie...but at least I am doing something more than sitting on my backside screaming prove it,and taking on other peoples theories as my own. At least I am trying to make sense of things in my own way.... |
