Thirty places at £50 each: £1500. One and a half grand for spreading potentially dangerous misinformation! I wonder how much of that is Gary's "take"? And let's not forget the "donations" he'll receive on the following day...sickening. By the way, I see that Gary's next two-day course at Nash Manor in January will include "Levitation" (will someone please buy him an introduction to basic physics?) and "Table Tipping". I wonder if the spirits, in addition to tipping tables, are still able to tap out various well-known TV theme tunes? ;D Anyway, there are all sorts of fascinating things on offer if you have £100 to spare... Its shocking that he is getting away with this crap I wonder how much of that £1500 he uses to pay on tax. Is there nothing that can be done legally to stop this man's fraud ?

You know you might have hit on something there Guthix , wonder how in order some of these peoples taxes are and if they perhaps might be able to be caught out that way if not for their dubious other practises .

We've speculated on this a few times at UKSkeptics. Gary once answered it by saying he has an accountant and gives receipts. Which obviously proves absolutely nothing. He's easily clearing a few hundred pounds on 'demonstrations', and anyone with any idea of how things work in the real world, knows a very small percentage of that will be going through any books. His healing is supposedly 'donation' based, so god knows how he records his takings for that. ETA: latest discussions on UK Skeptics from this page onwards, although the whole thing is a 50 page thread. www.ukskeptics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1229&page=52

I think his workshops are limited to about 12 or so - the ones at Nash Manor seem to be - I rang up a few months ago and checked. According to this, the charge for the workshop is now £45, and the charge for a private session is £35, rather than by donation. £35 for 20 minutes - good going. I wonder which is right. www.oakwood-events.co.uk/2007%20%2008%20%20FAIRS.htmYou just never get the facts with Mannion and his crew.

Norwich Trading Standards, whilst sympathetic, are unable to do anything because Gary isn't actually breaking the law. However, the Eastern Daily Press has picked up on my complaint and will be printing something about dubious New Age "healers" tomorrow. I don't know if Gary will actually be named (probably not) but anything even remotely critical of the subject is welcome.
