I think it's sick that mediums claim they want to contact the spirit of a famous person for publicity. Leave Princess Di in peace Derek.

Is this one of those less than reputable magazines/newspapers or can we believe what is quoted was really said?
Not familiar with the U.K. papers.

Derek's version of what happened when he met Derren Brown (if the paper has accurately reported what Derek said), is completely different to Derren's. Derren says in his book Tricks of the Mind (page 317 to 322) that the meeting was 'enormously civil' and that they discussed the way the press had beaten up a supposed war of words between them. On parting, they shook hands and wished each other well.
Either this paper has gotten it wrong, or Derek is being particularly ungracious and fanciful.

I think it's a little sick Derek wants to pretend he's talking with Princess Diana. He should have a little more respect for her and her family.

So Derek can "only contact a spirit if a family member asks him"? Doesnt that smell just a little of bulls*it? What about his stage shows when a spirit comes through to him? What about MH and Ghost Towns? None of the spirits he got in contact with, or even possessed by were requested by family members. Total s*it.

Why cant people leave the woman alone? she is dead but her sons are still alive and suffering torture over this every day. People seem to forget that this woman for all the royalty etc was their mum. This year is the tenth anniversary and it will yet again be more pictures of that awful bloody wreck of a car etc and journalists having orgasms over people mourning her and al fayed still spouting his ridiculous conspiracy theories. Sorry rant over!!!!!

So Derek can "only contact a spirit if a family member asks him"? Doesnt that smell just a little of bullsh*t? What about his stage shows when a spirit comes through to him? What about MH and Ghost Towns? None of the spirits he got in contact with, or even possessed by were requested by family members. Total sh*t. So does that mean he has to ask everyone in the theatre if it is ok for him to give them a reading?

It's so easy isn't it.
"I spoke to the dead spirit of a servant girl from the 1800's" Who cares ?
"I spoke to the spirit of Di / Lennon / Elvis / JFK " Instant headlines !
Derek may not be genuine, but he certainly knows how to play the game.

Or rather the audience all individually have to ask him to contact their relatives. What a bullsh*tter. And also, what a getout clause!

Well on the board on the stage instead of the bit that says you can get a refund on your ticket money if you don't wish to be on the screen or be recorded, well it should also add "If you want a reading, stick your hand up and ask, as the spirit world want to know you want a reading" pathetic.

hasnt this been down already by craig hamliton paker? found this on craigs site... www.remember-princess-diana.com/princess-diana-interview01.html Craig and Jane Hamilton-Parker have confounded the sceptics by the uncanny accuracy of their readings and have demonstrated mediumship over the media to millions of television viewers world-wide. Of particular note was their groundbreaking programme called "The Spirit of Diana" - a successful television seance to contact the spirit of the late princess. Although considered controversial in the UK, the programme has been acclaimed around the world and achieved a viewing audience of 30 million people. In addition an in depth and positive examination of thier powers have been recently featured on a BBC 2 mini- series for the flagship documentary programme Everyman.
