I've kept noticing small advertisements for a new MH live titled "The Search for Evil". Knowing that Wikidpedia is normally well versed on the subject I found this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Most_Haunted_LiveJanuary 10th - 16th January 2009
Showing On : LIVING 8pm - 12am for seven nightsMost Haunted Live returns on January 10th for another week long investigation where each night the Most Haunted team, led by Yvette Fielding, will look for evil spirits, focusing on a different type of entity each night.
Television listings reveal that the team will firstly on night one visit a dark basement notorious for its poltergeist activity. On night two they visit a theatre full of spooky stories, where a sinister black shape seems to appear in several parts of the building. Night three the team visit a building constructed on an old churchyard and where ghosts have reportedly been seen. Night four they visit derelict buildings once used as a military morgue. Unexplained phenomena have been reported on the site. Night five the team try to unravel the mystery behind stories of apparitions in a library. Night six they try to find out more about the ghost of an 18th century murderer. And finally, on Night seven the team return to their original location and try to contact the most powerful and dangerous spirits of all. Please dont change it. The hub for this live event will be at the historic St. Georges Hall in Liverpool which is the city were the live event will take place.Yes I'm afraid there is yet another week of Yvette and the team and with no great surprise they are on the hunt for some real bad spooks. BUT it gives Mr Shepard a little extra time to stick his "making a mockery" boot in once more (even though they do quite well all on their own in that department). I don't know Yvette doesn't like it when a medium takes the limelight off her. But lets be honest surely Brian Shepard is doing that anyway for all the wrong reasons.

What gets me is, why must every 'spirit' they encounter be evil? As if ordinary people don't have spirits (assuming you believe that in the first place.) Why must it always be witches and devils and mass murderers etc? Of course I know why - it sells. But it gets my goat.
By the way BadPsychics, since joining this website I have been educating myself somewhat (through you) in reference to psychics especially. Whilst I am not a total non-believer, I think I could now be fairly called a sceptic. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch th elast four episodes of MH - I hope you're satisfied!

More blurb on the forth coming show-
Oh purleeeeeeeeeeeeease the gloves are off now they are really clutching at the desperate ratings straws with their "search for evil ".
So each night of the first 6 they will "investigate" a different type of "sprit or supernatural occurence " from poltergeists to pit ghosts (whatever a pit ghost is when its at home ).
Culminating in the biggest cheese fest and ham acting session ever on the seventh night when they claim they will attempt to contact the "most powerful and most dangerous " seventh type of ghost .
So MH have managed to catagorize every paranormal occurence and squeeze them all into a convienient basic seven types funnily enough one for each day of the viewing week ? Not bad going eh ? Will be interested to see what these 7 types are .
Not only that they have rated them in level of danger saving of course the most dangerous for the last nights big blow out of no doubt a hammerhouse of horror kitschfest of bad acting and high decibel squealing playing up to their condescending view of their core audiences intelligence and viewing preference .
So they are uping the game from last time when the pathetic voodoo and devil calling stunts whipped the less sceptical / more vulnerable of their fans into a bit of a tizzy (comments such as "what if by watching them call the devil i get possesed " giving the delusional woo self proclaimed experts that the MH forum can attract the chance to give their pearls of wisdom like " sprinkle some salt " flying all over their forum) .
The MH team no doubt realise such crap does undoubtably get "bums on seats and channels changed " not to mention "the search for evil " invaribly gets them talked about and watched far more than " the search for fairly nice common or garden spooks who want to tell aunty jean where her wedding album is " does .
Lets face it the target audience they aim at wants to be frightened , wants to see action and drama , and couldnt care less about the credibility or has any great wish to look at the whole thing from an investigation point of view or rationally . They are tuning in to see what is in effect a reality show version of a scary movie with the added little hint of well it MIGHT be really happening (which of course it isnt in the way they think it is ) to add to the fun factor for the viewer .
You sit infront of a scary film and you know by the fact you put the dvd in the player that it is of course not real , there is no hint at it having the possibility of actually happening because you pressed play and you can press stop if it gets to much . With this kind of show there is always the faint inclining in the guilable that just maybe ...just maybe its really real , its live , they are really there , anything could happen . And they will make sure it does .
Laughing my head off here as in typical contradictory MH fashion they have pictures of the locations up already , ok they havent named them exactly but they have described them and named the city so anyone with eyes and local knowledge or google and a typing finger could hazard a guess at exactly where they are headed and find out plenty about them . So what happened to "we keep the locations secret from the mediums involved " ?
Even funnier is i now notice in the bio bit about the team that stu lists himself as "believer" ! Flippen eck when did this little epihany happen then ? Didnt he always say he was an open minded sceptic before ? I note the whole of the rest of the team state "sceptic " or " open minded sceptic " in the box which to be honest seems nuts when they have consistantly proved otherwise by their comments and actions .
I have a little prediction i think may occur on this live , i have a feeling that they are gonna go for broke and attempt a really stupid and of course over dramatic stunt on this live most probs on the last night bigger than anything they have tried before . I have a feeling someone is gonna go one step over the usual score and either hurt themselves or someone else (not really but in a play acting way ) leaving the viewers thinking it is real and has actually happened live on air before their eyes . In short i think they are gonna end up in a whole lot of trouble due to some stunt backfiring on them or causing massive complaints .
The set up for this live is ripe for it , and as smart or smug as they think they are that is their downfall as they never really take into consideration the fact that they could potentially cause a massive stink if they went too far on air and the viewing public fickle as they are turn against them or get taken too far in by something they pull .
I could be wrong but something tells me they really will come unstuck this time and it might be the big mistake and expose we've all been waiting for if they do mess up .

On the living MH live website there are pictures up for the live locations for the new MH live although so far they havent announced the actual names of the places . Some bright spark though was daft enough to name the picture files with the place names so a quick right click on the photos and then into properties reveals the following - St Georges Hall - Will serve as the hub and is also the location of the "dank basement with poltergeist "no doubt they will go down to the court house cells below for a bit of squealing and shennanigans .Wouldnt be surprised if they venutre outside to St Johns Gardens as well behind the hall , massive burial ground again ripe for the MH treatment and id venture if they do they will come up with a french/napoleonic soldier or some kind of connection as french prisoners of war were laid to rest there .Again its ALL OVER the net . Samlesbury Hall - Which is infact in Preston but is definatly one of the locations for this most haunteds third night 12th (the halls website even has a " see us on MH on the 12th " blurb) If the name Dorothea , John or Gilbert Southworth doesnt come up i'll be amazed . Look out for mentions of the Bradalls , Harrisons and Baines and De Houghtons as well there literally loads of stuff on the net about the hall and the tragic Dorothea/de houghton forbidden love .The usual stuff thats MH gold for them to ham up . Bidston hall or Lodge - This is where the usual satanic connection MH love comes in . Look out for mentions of a Richard Tilly (18th centurary satanist found to be buried in the house ) and the names Margaret and Victoria Webster who were the sisters who lived in the house in later years and supposedly were attacked and haunted by his ghost .Once again there is screeds on this on the net . The central library liverpool - Again the supposed site of a literary ghost haunting the upper decks of the place so expect books flying about a plenty . No picture of the theatre they say they will visit but take your pick , every theatre in Liverpool is awash with haunted tales . Im betting its no coincidence that they are in Liverpool now they have billy roberts on board who has written about the very subject in his book "haunted liverpool " and countless other articles hes done over the years . Not exactly locations the crew and mh staff will be unfamiliar with then . All they need to do is read a few Tom sleaman ghost books of which there are many and they have enough material to do ten shows .

Jon as sad as this makes me id actually love to pick apart each show and then demonstrate how i armed with nothing more than google and a pack of marlboro could find probs ALL the information and names they will come up with without the use of a single smidge of psychic ability BUT (and unfortunatly its a bit of a big but) i dont have sky tv or broadband which would make watching pretty much impossible I usually try and check out what shennanigans are happening on the lives through reading other forums who run threads on the night but its slow as hell and full of slightly unhinged fans who end up discussing Karls bum or Yvettes new hair horror . It takes me about a flippen hour to watch even the smallest of youtube clips with this heap of junk connection i have However if anyone else can watch the show and do a write up i'll be happy to provide them with any and all info i already have or can find on the locations and anything names etc they give on the night ?

I joined the Living TV MH forums last year to share some of my concerns and opinions about the show - couldn't believe how aggressively moderated the forum was. Had loads of posts deleted by the mods (I never once swore, threatened, name called, torlled etc I promise) but the replies to them were left, which just looked stupid. I ended up banning myself from there permanently (after likening the mods to Nazis, which didn't go down too well but made me feel so much better.)
Am a member of Karl Beattie's forum too, which is made up mainly of total believers, although there are a few there with open minds who are willing to discuss rationally - there are also those who taken any crticism posed against the show personally and can became very rude and offensive. It's interesting though.

It's all just round the corner from me - my other half has lived in this area all his life and didn't know that Bidston even had a hall. We got an email to say they were looking for audience members but Mr Hellyp forgot to apply what with all the stuff that's been going on here recently. We know Salmesbury Hall and the old library. I'm surprised that they are not going to the pub on the dock road, the Baltic Fleet, as it is well known for stories of a ghost in the gents', written about by local horror writer Ramsay Campbell, who sais he was chased up the stairs (the toilets are in the basement) by an invisible 'force'.

Hellyp they could very well be going to that pub you mentioned , its name came up quite a few times when googling all things ghost in liverpool and there are 7 nights but i could only find four locations that appear confirmed so its a definate possibility Romany , i sooo know what you mean about the Living forums .....i used to frequent it quite a bit about two years or so ago and it was a little better then as despite the usual woo fanatics there were some really great sceptical peeps on there who knew their stuff , sadly over the space of a couple of years it drastically went down hill , mods went loopy with the delete button , anyone asking the hard questions got mysteriously banned or at least had posts binned and i think although it was well after i gave up on it the whole forum was changed to the new board and format it has now which seems to have been the final straw for most of the sceptical peeps who left in their droves . When ever i go on now it appears to be full of innane drivel or pointless posts with only the odd notable exception Amaris , giggling at the "gala of fantasy" quote , that so aptly decribes the 7 days of high pitched squeals , shennanigans and equity card shrivelling bad acting we will be in for .

I ended up banning myself from there permanently (after likening the mods to Nazis, which didn't go down too well but made me feel so much better.) Well done romany. The good thing is you can always rejoin under another name as one or two people on there love to do lol. Greet them with Hile Hitler and then wait for the up and coming BAN. It may do you the world of good and become addictive lol. Sadly this is all too true with these forums. Their minds and beliefs will only go one way and anything that contradicts it doesn't go down well. When the going gets tough..................

So M H is coming to LIVERPOOLS ST GEORGES HALL. What a field day Deggsie would have had. I wonder if Tom Sleaman will be in the audience .His column in the local paper is quite entertaining, and he may pick up on some new stories, although I do not think so. I do not think that they will come up with anything new,as everything that could have been written has been, time after time after time. I myself have been around this great hall a number of times, If there are any ghosts etc, knocking around I do hope they are literary giants who read their own works and maestro,s who performed their music to captivated audiences. Oh yes they did have trials [the assizes ] for those who did not know S G H was a crown court. They WILL pick up on this, you can rest assured of it. As they show you around on their tour, please enjoy the magnificent interior.I will be watching just to see that they do this great building justice.not an injustice to promote their so called show.
