All religions, all beliefs take on board other beliefs and practices througout the ages and what have been before them.Crowley was no darn different. Kendra, that I can appreciate but my point was that these beliefs were effectively "made up" in very recent times, think of Scientology as an example of what I'm getting at. This description begs the question how the hell do they "know" anything about "theories of ancient practices (namely Celtic traditions), nature worship, and ceremonial magic." when there is NO written contemporary accounts of this time, the Celts didn't leave anything about their religious practice, the only confirmed examples of the Celtic Ogham language are 369 examples (gallan stones) which were boundary markers.

Then good for them. If they can form a cult/following in such a relatively short space of time then so what ? Every 'group' stems from one persons belief doesnt it ? Even if its down to more money than sense, thats my opinion of scientology, which is for condescending males.
Point being, it doesnt matter what your routes are, as long as you can point to them, even if thats recent and traced down to one persons opinion ??

How's that for alliteration? Would be interesting to see a page dedicated to the run of the mill fraudsters and shucksters that inhabit the place. Met a guy called Robbie, no surnames... yet. Seems this guy calls himself a pagan psychic but proudly brags of all the women who fall for it and bed him. Claims its a great line. Having investigated numerous " psychics" I find some that are inexplicable, most are either fraudulent or naive or some are downright evil. If there are genuine psychics out there they must cringe when hearing of such...was gonna say men...but this guy wasn't, just a dog. people say and do all sorts of things to get people into bed, and people are stupid enough to sleep with people they dont know and allow themselves to be emotionally hurt. why would someone want to sleep with someone because they were psychic? - are psychics supposed to be cuddly and friendly people?

Whose final choice was it to climb into that bed?
