In contrast to the GTA4 (PC) thread, Mirror's Edge was very simple to set up, and is actually very good!
I started playing through it on normal difficulty level, but the enemies are just too frustrating, so I decided to switch to easy level, as it only makes the combat simpler, and the main focus of the game is really supposed to be the running. Which is bloody good fun!
I gather it's a short game, and I'm probably already more than halfway through. Since starting on easy level, it took me less than 90 minutes to get from the beginning to the point I got to while playing on normal, which was level 5 - I guess about halfway through.
But I like it!
Fry: Hey, wait, I'm having one of those things…you know, a headache with pictures. Leela: An idea?
I bought it over christmas for much cheapness in the steam sale. graphically its very pretty, and once i got the hang of the moves, was hooked. Completed it on hardest difficulty recently (had to start again from scratch after the HD died). I really wish it had multi player- rooftop shennanigans would be great fun. I did have to turn off the Physix graphics mode as when windows shattered, the game would drop to about 2 FPS because of having to deal with all the fragments etc.
