Heads up for anyone who can take the punishment - a preview of his new show is on Sky Anytime, or at least it was on mine.
Watched the first 10 minutes so far, and it is EXTREMELY poor. One wonders how Sky ever bothered commissioning this garbage.
And the audience looks like it is full of grinning Acorah sycophants.

I thought Jon may have investigated the fact that by their own admission a friend of his did indeed receive a psychometry reading of an article that they had taken to the studio with them and if the researchers etc had been made aware beforehand that some of the people who attended the recordings were personally known to Acorah. |

What ever anyone has to say about Derek Acorah, the man could fall in the poo and come out smelling like roses. A lot of mediums or self professed mediums seem to be like this? The following they have is cult like and this transpires on his tv show, look at the audience faces they are beyond sycophantic  |

I thought Jon may have investigated the fact that by their own admission a friend of his did indeed receive a psychometry reading of an article that they had taken to the studio with them and if the researchers etc had been made aware beforehand that some of the people who attended the recordings were personally known to Acorah. Whats there to investigate? I already know he is a fraud, i honestly believe that anyone who still believes in him after all the exposures etc, is beyond saving or educating |

I saw the show last night, boy that set was PINK his teeth stood out like he was charging up the national grid ;D. As for the readings if he was to say OK any more during the show I wanted to thump the tv  I am no expert but it has to be one of the most biggest case of cold reading. And as for the articles for reading (Psychometry) they were placed at the back of the set sofa and the items were all on display, Acorah could have already weighed up with items he was going to choose before the show. It would have made better TV if them articles were placed in a locked box when handed to the stage hands at the beginning of the show I mean picking up a toy car and saying this belonged to a Boy ? You could see Acorah scanning the audiences faces when he chose an item, he looked for a reaction you could see that clearly. In saying all this he did come over as a sincere guy friendly and approachable however, that's about the it really the charm he comes across with masks the fact he is a fraud and he is not in contact with the other side. Also the animal readings were a pathetic attempt to add something different to the show, in fact it was more ridiculous. You'll have to see it for yourself I do suppose that at some stage someone on YouTube will have downloaded this and put it on there. |

This is a contrived showcase just as others which have gone before. The information could be gained by the usual means.
Derek as ever the showman is so nice and is almost, can I say please, servile in his manner and it seems he is becoming a comedic act of his public persona. |

Jon I didn't watch the actual show because like you I couldn't be arsed but when the link to Youtube was posted on here I couldn't resist a peek, the part of the show I did bring myself to watch however was viewed with very different eyes to a few years ago because as you quite rightly say I am a former believer in Derek Acorah but now I can see how he does lead the audience.
What I did view I can sum up in one word MEDIOCRE.
I think pretending to be able to communicate with animals whether it be dead ones or very much alive ones and expecting the public to swallow it is going a bit too far even for him.
Jon i'm no good at analysing anybody or anything after all it only took me 10 years to discover that Derek Acorah was a fake.
By the way it wouldn't have been 30 mins of your life lost forever it would have been nearer an hour. ;D

I am watching a recording of Derek's show, I must be a glutten for punishment. Try as I must I cannot see not one piece of his show that is genuine, only for the nature of the people on the show who genuinely believe he's in contact with their loved ones. The show is just so sad and poor cold reading.
