I think the seemingly amateurish camera wobbling was hiding something significant.

i dont like the fact that he didnt reveal his prediction till AFTER the draw. Plus it was more like 5 seconds after live, I had 2 TVs on lol
Still a nice trick though

Someone who was watching it with me disagrees with a camera trick asking why it would take an hour program on Friday to explain how he did it. We thought we had recorded it on sky plus but it didn't show on the planner only the very end and his next program.

It looks like a camera trick, either two frames were interjected after the balls had been swapped for the correct ones, or every possible combination had been film before hand, and then the correct one was merged with the "live" scene of Derren.

His ad for the program show him juggling with one hand while talking to the camera. I reckon that was spliced and put together like the lottery prediction.

As you said Jon, the screen was split possibly straight after Derren moved over to the tv. Then joined straight after. I watched it on you tube again and noticed lack of camera wobble for a split second after last number was announced. I also think that the footage before the close up of Derren with the ball stand and tv, where Derren points out the camera man with the hand held camera was filmed prior as an excuse for the wobbly filming, as that was put on to make it seem more realistic, as though people might be think it can not be spliced if it's wobbling. Funny how many people really think he predicted them or fannies about filming lots of different number alternatives. I just hope he doesn't come up with a load of crap on Friday rather than telling the truth.

I'm just going to wait until Friday and see what the show has to say and then make my mind up when I have the facts.

I unfortuently did not see this last night, as i came back from vacation pretty late. But i'm looking forward to seeing the show tommrow. I'm not sure Brown would have been obvious enough to wait till after he lottery to simply record the outcome and pose it as his prediction. But we'll see.

The thing is if it is just a simple camera trick, then its all a bit pointless, i hope there was more to it than that

The link i found it under was part hidden by a picture , the link i posted takes you straight to an interview vid. Unless it was just my screen set up and everyone else could see the link clearly from the start. Anyway ...some of the theories out there as to how he did it are increasingly hysterically funny to watch unfold on the various message boards...lazers , balls with light sensitive chemicals , time delays , the list is apparently endless. The camera trick/splicing theory does seem very possible but looking at past Derren events it seems far to much of a get out and easy option that doesnt really fit in with what he usually aims to do , the emphasis in this series of events seems to be more on the power of misdirection , suggestion ,control and how the human mind thinks rather than just a camera illusion alone. I hope it is something fiendishly simple yet cleverly executed that will be far more satisfying than just a camera trick and that come Friday he really does explain all . Did find this link as well www.stucktomysofa.com/ that takes you on to the events site and seems to be part of the fun .

A few of things after watching it again on Youtube that seemed unusual.. Why bother writing the numbers down at all on the card or rather why use that way to illustrate what numbers had been drawn in the live draw against the balls he had on the stand ? We saw them on the tv screen and the live draw also then displays them on screen in numerical order so it seemed a clunky inclusion to have this hand held card with his written numbers also unless it was part of the misdirection or was intentional. It may of course have been just a way of showing the numbers drawn in numerical order in the same shot as his predicition balls and have no part to play but somehow the whole writing down of the numbers as they came out felt like a sideshow. The whole blurb as well about the BBC having the exclusive right to show the numbers first preventing him from displaying his numbers pre draw is a lie of course , doing so would merely have been a prediction and Adrian Chiles made a similar prediction on the one show hours earlier so its hardly BBC policy not to air any predictions pre draw. That and anyone looking at the event as an obvious trick already knows the only way he could know 100% the numbers was after the draw and therefore the inclusion of this lie was pointless unless it was aimed at the dafties who actually thought it was a real prediction. The inclusion of the mention that Derren was banned from putting on a ticket for the draw in the press and the show also seemed a bit pointless as did the blurb about it only being him and two camera men for "security " reasons ....you cant buy a ticket that close to the draw anyway so why not do it infront of a live audience ? What he didnt make clear or commit to was when he placed the balls on the stand or when he allegedly made the prediction of the numbers either other than it was earlier on that day which may explain his mention of the "security" but the whole thing is we know he didnt predict the numbers and only knew them after the draw so its all just talk to build up the illusion. All we really have to go on is he cant have known the numbers till after the draw and so couldnt show his prediction until the draw was made, he didnt for some reason include the bonus ball which is last to be drawn so was its position in the draw perhaps the reason he couldnt include it or was it excluded simply because people are less likely to question a nearly perfect prediction than one that is 100% correct , somewhere stripping away all the talk and the sideshow theres got to be a far simpler answer that doesnt involve camera tricks , electronic balls , lazers or filming 266 days worth of possible results ...and you just know your going to be kicking yourself when he tells us just what that is

Quite right Fluff Derrens revealing all (or some) on the TV in our bedroom right now but I'm far too preoccupied watching my pan of chips cook to a lovely golden brown with a glass of white wine in me hand ;D. It'll be a trick of course (and I've seen enough (live) and read enough of Derren Brown to know it is, as will most others on here) because we all know that there's probably no such thing as real magic or psychic powers.... morganp
