There was one quite entertaining bit last night when they were using that 3 layered rotating Oiuja board doohickey. The Fielding and Cath were standing together and the new medium chappie told Cath there was 'an ugly old woman' standing next to her! Made me chuckle anyway... ;D I wouldnt mind seeing a clip of that

I think it's all just practice for when they all end up making ends meet by appearing in Panto ;D It won't be too long now before the audience is shouting 'He's behind you!'. No wonder OFFCOM are insisting MH is classed as an entertainment programme - I'd go one further and call it non-science totally fiction. morganp Funny though that on 'Ghost in the Machine' on the BBC Yvette quite clearly states that she disagrees with the idea that Most Haunted is purely an entertainment show which makes you wonder what exactly she is on. Yeah i noticed that. Seems like he just fell off the boat in Egypt

The only thing Yvette has to do is hold her hands up & admit that MH & MHL are purely for entertainment only & sites such as BadPsychics will start to ease up on her same old shows. Antix are unlikely to lose money what with the 10 minute adverts, the gullible & the giggle seekers.
What are the chances of her admitting that any time soon? None in my opinion. She's a fool

I just can't stomach this programme anymore. It's gone beyond what was originally, I thought, a novel and interesting idea with a good concept (when it first started) through slightly amusing, into vaguely irritating and is now in the realms of utter unwatchable, condescending, ignorant rubbish.
What really sticks in my throat is the way they flaunt their wealth on their 'Karl and Yvette at home' type programmes, which they run trailers for during the breaks. Hearing Karl admit he's bought another car (6 or 7 cars now) in the same manner my husband would admit that yes, he did stay for another pint (i.e. shamelessly and with no real remorse!) or watching him slip an expensive ring on Yvette's finger whilst she accepts his offer of marriage for a second time around makes me sick. They seem to me to be openly saying, "Look you sad, ordinary working people, we're rich because of your ignorance/need/belief system/desperation/fill in reason of choice." It's really rubbing salt into the wound and I can't quite believe they are insensitive enough to do it. Or can I? Believe it or not, throughout the whole week I've watched less than an hour of the show as a whole and in that time I've seen more ad breaks (and hence more of Karl and Yvette's ideal lifestyle) than MH itself. Thankfully.
Do I sound bitter? Lol! I don't mean to. I don't begrudge anyone wealth or success but this seems particularly crass to me.
And to think there was a time when I wouldn't have missed an episode! More fool me, eh?

I'm sure I wasn't the only one chanting "touch the cage, touch the cage" lol. It was a load of crap as touching the cage would have done bugger all, karl could not have kept his body from touching his cage as it was such a tight fit. On Mythbusters they did the same thing with even more electricity and jamie did not get fried as the electricity passes through you and back into the cage! The cage works in the same way as the earthing wire they use then repairing live ovehead cables. There was no danger to anyone as health and safety would have not allowed them to do it if they was even the slightest possibility of someone getting fried.

In reply to CGA's comment on the Virgin Forum Simon Peters replied:
"The difference will be the facts, and the truth fully investigated to show the Spirit world as it really is!"
How is he going to achieve this given the questionable nature of the spirit world and the fact that if they did exist they're not going to perform on cue for anyones film crew - be it Karl n Yvettes, Simon Peters or Martin Scorsese's?
Is he going to get 'more credible' mediums? if so who are they exactly? I applaud his intentions and his disillusion with what MH has become but I question his ability to produce anything that will build an audience and retain the support of whichever TV channel will be picking up the tab without him resorting to MH type tactics.

I switched off for the first time, in totally bad taste and pointless from what I could see. Did anyone see the show from 8pm? I caught a bit and Yvette was saying something about how the ultimate experiment would be to flatline Karl and see what he experiences and then bring him back!!!! WHats the VM website so I can complain?

What has hanging got to do with a paranormal investigation show?
From what I saw last night and that was only 10 minutes as I can't stomach MHL (there were better programmes to watch on tv last night) I am absolutely flabbergasted they done a hanging experiment, who is Karl now David Blane???
Do they honestly think hanging is some kind of entertainment, this show is below scraping the bottom of the barrell, it's a digrace it's false it's not entertaining and it certainly is not an investigation show by all means.

I have become so fed up with this so called "Psychic" show that I have only watched about 1 hour out of the 8 nights. The little I did see was more or less the same as all the ones that had gone before. Very predictable I am sure we could all write the scripts for them by now. A lot of screaming, banging, somebody feeling ill, feeling cold, being touched.Yvette being bossy as ever foul mouthed Karl as ever. The whole lot should be sued under the trade description act.If this is entertainment count me out As for the audience what a sad lot, they really must feel so let down ,not one ghost in sight. If this show as achieved anything it is employment for all the nonentities that are now household names thanks to the exposure that M H as brought them. They will soon all go back into obscurity when the plug is finally pulled on this so called entertainment. To think that I was once so convinced and readily believed the earlier M H shows, I cannot believe I was so naive more fool me.

Didn't bother watching all the ''shows'' - sky plused the last one - to flick through all the adds/studio chatter - what was left was the biggest crock of sh*te my poor TV has had to display for many a year! Even calling this an entertainment show must be flaunting any trade descriptions act.
Do the live audience actually pay to be there? - they should ask for their money back!

To coin a phrase, MH may well now have been hoist by it's own petard.
I didn't see the 'hanging' but I intend to have peep. Judging by the respones to it, they may just have gone a step too far this time.
Karl and Stuart are far too big for their boots, it's getting boring.
Was Karl's language really that foul?

It was on one night, forget which one , he had to sit on the settee with Yvette being interviewed by Rossy to make his apologies. It was cringeworthy to watch so I was told did not see it myself. By all accounts his swearing on that particular occasion was bad. His choice of words left a lot to be desired.

Just watched the 'hanging' on youtube. As I remarked there:
How unutterably stupid and irresponsible! And pointless - you can't ever possibly approximate the feelings and emotions of a condemned individual about to face and imminent and certain violent death, especially not when you are rigged up to a harness and surrounded by medics and tech guys. Bloody nonsense.
Especially in the wake of the recent spate of accidental hangings here in the UK and the deliberate suicide hanging in South Wales. I sincerely hope this little stunt knells the death toll for MH - it's more than run its course now.

Thanks Barb, found youtube clip of that too. To paraphrase Karl's subsequent apology:
"...there are people here from Ireland, from down south, from many different parts of country, some of them have been waiting 5 yrs for tickets ... it only takes one idiot who clearly wants some recognition ... I don't know maybe their mums didn't cuddle them as much as they should when they were kids....let's not let one idiot try and spoil everything."
(That's an apology? Blaming someone else? To be fair he did say sorry, but I got the definite impression he implies someone else is to blame for having made him 'upset and annoyed' I think he said.)
Followed by a suitably ingratiating remark from Paul Ross: "I am sure we all appreciate Karl's honesty." Greeted with applause from the adoring audience.
I wonder if any other show would get away with this and if, indeed, MHL gets away with it. We'll see I suppose. I for one am now this coupled with the hanging thing, truly disgusted with the show generally and Karl in particular. Seems to me he has shown a little of his true colours here, and it aint pretty.
