the link to your site from your blog doesnt work, make sure you have the http:// in front of the link in the code on the template.

Yes i know that. I am trying to help you here. On your blog you have a link that goes to your site, that link does not work, so you are losing potential traffic.
Also I have PMed you a couple of times, would be nice to get a reply, wouldnt hurt you know.

Jon, I thought that as you had commented on the broken link rather than the article, you thought the article was on the website. Thank you for the info that the link wasn't working - I have fixed it now. As for the PMs, please remember that my eyesight is not good - I just hadn't noticed them, but there really is no need to be so shirty about things. .

feels a bit empty though, just having a for entertainment only disclaimer. The vast majority of people will just ignore that, it wont in any way turn people off going will it, if anything it will encourage the agnostics as they are being told it is entertaining!

Jon, mighty oaks from little acorns grow. We have to start somewhere, and this has to be a step in the right direction.

They have had entertainment banners on these tv shows for years though.

It's not quite the same - they're easily missed on TV, but not so easy on an ad like this one.

dont you think it is just encouraging people though?
I would rather see a disclaimerthat says something like
"This psychic show is an act, much like a magic show, no real psychic ability exists"

Well so would I - but there's no legal requirement for it.

Ok this may be a silly idea and im not sure of the cost or legal implications involved but how about BP taking out ads in the same areas of the press that the ads for these shows and phonelines appear ...it would of course promote BP and tell people what its about but also if the disclaimers that the law state they have to have in relation to mediums and psychic shows arent blunt or obvious enough for joe public to get it whats to stop you writing your own ....ie ..."Before you go to see a Psychic check out the fakes exposed on BP and protect yourself from frauds " of course a philly lawyer would need to be involved in the wording of to see just how much you could get away with but you get my idea ....if the disclaimers arent good enough why not write your own ?

hello all could someone send me to an article about this law? i was looking for something less technical and much more general. this is a fascinating idea, and i wonder how long it will take to cross the pond? ;D the woo factor is exploding over here! how would sylvia browne look after a couple of hours of being grilled by prosecutor? wow.

Suppose it would cost an arm an a leg .....mibbes a flyer posted online that any BP member could print off and leave in venues that agreed or anywhere else for that matter ? Mind you i suppose any venure daft enough to have mediums on wouldnt be keen on the idea if it meant no one would want to go see the shows and line thier pockets . Suppose the best way to get people clued up is to have everyone whos got a myspace , facebook , bebo , website to put a link up for BP ...its free and you'd be amazed the amount of things and sites ive found through a leisurely wander through other peoples links .

hello all could someone send me to an article about this law? I have written one which breaks down exactly what will get mediums, etc., into hot water with the law. You'll find a link to it in a post of mine on page 3 of this thread, towards the bottom.
